Let me strut your mutt!

Don’t trouble it, don’t harass them, don’t deprive them of their happiness, don’t work against god’s intent.” -Fyodor Dostoevsky The day I was born and brought home from the hospital, I was welcomed into my new home by two adult male cats who already took up residence there. Some of my earliest memories involve my interactions with those two cats and I believe those early experiences led me to always choose to live with a pet. The unconditional love our pets offer us is so endless and infinite and I believe my childhood cats and dogs, more than anyone or anything else, taught me how to love and respect others with such a deep level of care, compassion and empathy. I often wonder if the world would be a more loving and peaceful place if people chose to love one another in the same unconditional way our cats and dogs love us. I worked at a doggy daycare and boarding facility for many years. I've also had the incredible opportunity of shadowing a veterinary technician for a brief period of time. From those experiences I learned how to provide all different forms of care for animals including: administering oral medications, checking on the animal's overall physical health and wellbeing, watching for signs of distress or discomfort, and how to manage a yard full of dogs of all different sizes, needs, ages, and temperaments.

I walk my dog 3x/day and we play often throughout the day. I consistently confirm her water bowl is full of fresh water. She has always been a free-feeder but I understand this is not the case with the majority of pets. My childhood pets were not free-fed but rather fed on a daily schedule. Caring for your pets will be completely based on their individual needs beyond the basics of feeding, providing fresh water, petting, playing and walking!

Jessa went over and beyond what I expected for my fur babies. She is in general such a sweet person and was thoughtful in getting to know how my cats needed to be cared for. She is a great communicator and I could tell through her check-ins that the cats were genuinely comfortable around her. When I got back I could tell they weren’t overly anxious which is something I’ve been working on with my littlest one. I will definitely get in touch with Jessa again anytime I am going out of town. My daughter Jessa has been an animal lover since she was a baby - it sounds cliche but it's true. Like me, she's had a cat, dog or both as companions her entire life. She's a kindred spirit with all species, and recognizes the unconditional love our pets offer us as a special gift. She treats her animal friends with the same love, compassion, kindness and respect she gives her nieces. No one is better equipped to give your special friend the care and attention it deserves when you're not there for them. I highly recommend her - you won't be disappointed!

Schedule
I'm an online student so my schedule tends to be incredibly flexible! Outside of my studies, I love to take my doggo on hikes in the many beautiful, local state parks.
