Safety, trust & environment

I have over an acre of property with a fenced in yard. Quiet cul-de-sac in village area. No thru vehicle traffic, light foot traffic. I have four rescue pugs who can't wait to meet their next best friend. They love play dates with other pets, I'm in rescue and frequently host meetups, transport drops and foster, so there are always furry friends for play time. However, if your pet is a little less energy and enjoys nap time and quiet, I can easily accommodate that as well. Take away, your pet will be safe, secure, loved, pet and very well cared for. They'll ask you when they can come back!

Information Jess S. would like to know about your pet

I want to know everything about your pet. Their likes, dislikes. Preferred treats and food, favorite toys. Do they like the car? Any dietary restrictions? Their preferred activities, anything to avoid while caring for your pet.....

A typical day

In nice weather, we spend time in the fenced yard tossing a ball, playing in the doggie pool. If walking is preferred, I live in a quiet 25-30 mph area with sidewalks for exploring. My home is pup-proof, they can nap on the furniture or on one of the many dog beds throughout the home. My home is single story as I've always had senior or special needs pets, no stairs to be concerned with.

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Jess, and I am excited to offer my pet services to you and your furry family members. With 35 years of experience as a pet care provider and over 20 years in rescue, I bring a wealth of knowledge and compassion to every pet I care for. My commitment to animal welfare includes over twenty years volunteering for a local rescue organization, as well as six years on the board where I'm currently serving as President. Having recently retired, I now devote all my time to my one true love—pets. I'm a foster failure many times over and I'm looking forward to spending my days with my pups. My extensive experience includes special needs care, managing diet and allergy restrictions, light physical therapy, basic pet CPR and first aid, senior care and administering medications. I'm well versed in animal behaviors and speak their language. I know what they want to do and what they don't want to do with just about any pet I come in contact with. Whether your pet needs a walk, a visit, a sample delivered to the vet, transportation to vet/medical appointments, grooming services, or a comforting home away from home while you're away, I've got you covered. I offer overnight boarding (longer stays available) for vaccinated and friendly pets in my home, along with check-ins and walking services. I have a grooming room in my home to provide a full service spa day for your pet, ensuring they feel pampered and loved, and look like a million bucks when you return. It can be one of the hardest things we do, leaving our pets. Having someone you trust and your pets love can make or break your travel plans, or your decision to add a pet to a working family. Life is better with dogs, let me help you live your best dog mom/dad life... I look forward to meeting your pets (and you of course)..

Jess is an expert on all things dogs. She is active is dog rescue and is experienced caring for dogs with a variety of special needs. She watched my senior dog with special needs and was spectacular!! I felt very comfortable and at ease during my day trip (I get very nervous leaving my dog). Thank you Jess!!

Jessica is the only person I have ever let babysit my pug. She’s kind, fun and attentive to her needs. Not only is Jessica a fabulous pug sitter. She is also a fabulous person. I never have to worry when I travel because I know my pug is in good hands.

Jess has a special gift with animals, especially dogs. She spends a lot of her time helping run a dog rescue group. She fosters dogs and helps other dogs find a safe, loving home. Jess would love and care for your pets as if they were her own.

Jess is a valued member of our Rescue group and a personal friend. She provides exceptional care to her pets and any foster dogs under her care. Jess specializes in dogs with complicated medical issues and I always consult her for advice when I am having concerns with my own dogs. Her home and yard are designed to provide the best, most comfortable and safest spaces for her pets. I would leave my own pets with Jess without hesitation, knowing they would receive the absolutely best of care.
