Availability
My husband and I are home full time, so your pup will be in great company receiving lots of love and affection with plenty of play time with their furry friends. We can ensure potty break and walks every two hours. We kindly ask that you make sure your pup has proper walking attire: sturdy leash with properly fitting collar/harness (retractable leashes are not preferred). We only go off leash in fenced in dog parks (with exception to long standing relationships in which owner has given permission and pup shows signs of great recall.)

We have an open space policy in which the pups have free range of our home. In addition, pups are free to lay anywhere they feel comfortable, including couches and beds. If your pup needs to be crated, we can easily accommodate this as well. For safety and security we keep a doggie gate at our front door. During any stay, we will always be in touch providing frequent updates with pictures & videos so you can see how things are going. At the end of the day our goal is to keep your dog happy, well exercised, and most importantly safe!

Information Jess M. would like to know about your pet
Before hosting your pup, please most importantly update your pets profile and provide us with their most recent vaccination record. This helps us ensure safety for all. When we confirm your pup is up to date with their necessary vaccines, we will also confirm with you that your pup is friendly with children and other dogs. We have two little girls and the company of other fur friends very regularly. It’s okay if you’re unsure if your pup is great with children, we have been in the D.O.G business for quite a while and generally by the end of the meet and greet we will have a pretty good idea of whether or not we are a good fit. Once we have confirmed vaccinations, and friendly with children and other dogs, then we will discuss arranging a meet and greet. During the meet and greet you can share with us details about pups personality, behavior traits (good and bad) any allergies, recent injuries, and/or medical needs they may have, and lastly their daily routine. All this information is hugely helpful as it allows us to provide the best care possible for your pup without missing a beat. Zero Tolerance for Aggressive Behavior: What we are specifically referring to is any behavior connected with an attack, that regularly occurs, and includes any of the following: Baring teeth and growling Snapping Lunging Biting This is something we take very seriously. So if your dog has a tendency of show casing aggressive behavior or tends to be unpredictable, our household may not necessarily be the right fit. Our goal is to make sure your dog is safe and happy so they can thrive while you are away. For all new clients requesting extended stays exceeding 3 nights, we will require a one night boarding trial. Lastly, we do not guarantee solo stays.
A typical day
We’re lucky to live near some of the best outdoor spots around – Blue Hills, Stony Brook Reservation, Arnold Arboretum, Houghton’s Pond, and Turner’s Pond. These make for wonderful long walks and hikes with the pups. For dogs who love social play, we’re also just minutes from the Quincy Dog Park. Clients can request a special outing there for some extra tail-wagging fun in a safe, fenced-in space. In the evenings my family and I enjoy kicking back on the couch watching television while snuggling up with the pups and giving lots of belly rubs! If this sounds like activities and the kind of company your pup would enjoy while you’re away, contact me!

Pet care experience
No Solo Stays Before you send a request please make sure your pet profile is filled out and complete with a photo of your pups most recent vaccination record. My name is Jess, I am 35 years old. I grew up in Brookline, and currently live in Milton with my husband John, and our two little girls. I’m a BC alumna, that paved a financial career at Fidelity Investments. After parting ways to start a family, my husband and I began our successful and growing local dog care business through Rover called Woof Local. We have many years of professional experience caring for a variety of different dog breeds; big and small, and from puppies to senior dogs. We also understand and can manage caring for dogs with varying temperaments and additional needs. Over the years my husband and I have proudly provided our neighborhood with reliable and trustworthy dog care and have truly become a second home and family for their pups. We hope to do the same for you.

Reviews

Jess and her family took wonderful care of our 1-year old Havapoo, Pepper. It was her first time away from us, but Jess made the experience so easy. Pepper came home happy and well cared for, and we really appreciated the updates and flexibility. I highly recommend Jess and would absolutely leave Pepper with Jess again!

This was our very first time leaving our four year-old pup with a sitter and jess made it so comfortable and easy! Will definitely be booking again.

My dog Woodson had a great stay with Jess. Not only did I feel confident that my dog was cared for and loved, her communication and photo updates were so appreciated. I will certainly be booking with Jess again. Thank you!!!!

Jess is an amazing sitter! Finn had a wonderful time and is always happy to be there!
