I’m a local elementary school teacher who loves spending time with animals. During the school year, I teach full-time, and outside of the classroom I enjoy caring for pets in my community. I’ve been around dogs my entire life. Growing up, I helped walk and care for our family dogs, and as an adult I’ve continued dog walking and pet sitting both here in California and while living in the Boston area. I’m also an experienced cat owner with three cats of my own, so I’m very comfortable caring for cats with all kinds of personalities. One of my cats had significant behavioral challenges, which led me to work with an animal behaviorist and spend countless hours learning about feline behavior. Through patience, positive reinforcement, and clicker training, I taught him tricks and helped him become much more comfortable around people. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between, I’ll care for them with patience, kindness, and attention to their individual needs. My goal is to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away—and to give you peace of mind through reliable care and regular updates.

Jess was awesome! We had a change of plans last minute before the Memorial Day weekend and I was able to find Jess the day before we left. We scheduled a meet and greet the day we were leaving to give her the rundown on how to take care of our dog (Bella), 3 guinea pigs, and rabbit. She took it all in and exceeded my expectations as I was expecting a phone call or message about something but I never did. She absolutely took great care of all of our animals!
Jess is the absolute best! She is super patient and kind, both with dogs and humans. My black lab, McKinley, bit her the first time they met, but Jess was unfazed and now they are in love. I met her at a dog park and I have never seen anyone love dogs more than she does. She said hello to nearly every dog there, talking to and petting them 'til the dog decided they wanted to go back to playing. She is also amazing with kids, which is unsurprising since she's an elementary school teacher. I highly recommend Jess for all your doggy care needs.
Jess is the definition of dog lover. She loves dogs more than anyone else I know. Every dog she sees on the street she falls in love with and stops to talk to and pet. She has a unique and empathetic ability to understand the nature and personality of a dog and knows exactly how to communicate with it. She has a wonderful upbeat and loving energy that dogs take to and trust. Recently she has been working with a dog that was traumatized and wouldn’t walk outside. By working with him gently and consistently, he now successfully will go for long walks in a park. She is extremely organized, punctual, responsible and truly passionate about dogs and taking the very best care of them.
Jess has worked wonders with my very timid puppy, Lucy. She was patient with her and has helped Lucy blossom from from a shaking puppy who wouldn't leave the block to a confident dog who now goes on regular 45 minute walks around the Brookline Reservoir.
