I started dog sitting in 2020 and I have had a few times a year dogs staying with me for a few days up to more than a month. My 2 boys aged 11 and 15 love it. They would like so much to be dog owner. However, I can not be a dog owner as we are travelling a lot for work and during school holidays so I prefer to do dog sitting instead.

Jerome was great with Obi, reliable, friendly and very easy to communicate with throughout. Obi was clearly comfortable and well looked after, which gave us complete peace of mind. We’d happily recommend Jerome and would definitely use him again.
Jerome is the best dog sitter you could ask for! He looked after Milo and Sassy for the week while we were abroad, he was so so understanding and caring and made sure to look after our dogs even in the worst heatwave - he checked them on his installed camera when he was away and sent us photos to reassure us - he kept updating us with their progress, putting cold packs on them and was very aware and helpful towards our little sassy who has anxiety. I couldn’t recommend him more and we would definitely book him again!!

Jerome and his children were fantastic dog sitters for Porgy. They welcomed her as part of their family and gave her so much love, attention, and plenty of outdoor activities to keep her active and happy. They followed all the dietary requirements we asked for and regularly sent us lots of photos, which was really reassuring. Since Porgy came back home she’s noticeably more relaxed and better behaved. We’re really grateful for the care they gave her and would absolutely leave Porgy with this lovely family again. 🐶💛

Schedule
I work 2 days a week from home and my kids are from time to time at home depending on their school schedule (for instance Monday mornings for my eldest one).

Safety, trust & environment
I only keep one dog at the same time. I do not have a garden but i am near a lot of parks (Bishop parks for instance). Our boys always play in those parks so this is very easy for me to bring the dogs along with my boys.
A typical day
On a weekday when I work from home (2 a week), I will bring my youngest boy to school in the morning (20 minutes bus) and I come back jogging home (about 3km). Very convenient to bring a dog with me. I then work from home until my kids come back to play with the dog. I can take the dog out a couple of times (short time) during a weekday. From 5pm, I can the dog out for a longer walk With 1 or 2 of my boys. On a weekday I do not work from home (2 times a week), I will be away from home between 8ish until 5ish. My elder son (13) can walk the dog on Monday/Thursday/Friday mornings and on Wednesday/Friday afternoons. On week-ends, My boys play tennis and football all week-end so we are out with the dog all week-end long.
