Small Hands Big Heart
I grew up with small and large dogs and different kinds of kitty cats. I love big dogs. I love small dogs. I love all dogs, and I don't believe there are any bad dogs. With my own animals over the years, I've read and learned a lot about behavior and training, have dealt with animals with anxiety to help them overcome it, and even trained cats to calmly endure baths and car rides.

I work from home, so I am available most days out of the month and only usually leave to do walks or drop-ins during the day

Safety, trust & environment
Health and Safety comes first - that mens food, water, potty breaks and security (everyone being friendly and able to have fun) - so we can have easy fun all day. I like to get everyone on a predictable schedule and rotation of activities (home feeding schedule blended with a 3 hour rotation of potty time, active play, and relaxing). I'm not a whisperer, but I do like reading up on different kinds of training or techniques to use to help animals communicate with us humans. I prefer to develop verbal/ gentle hands interactions with dogs and cats - largely based on the philosophy (but leash-free) of the Whitehouse method - similar to Cesar Millan - there are no bad dogs (or cats). Firm, stoic patience and gentle hands with compliments and rewards are the most effective tools. When multiple pups and kittehs are abound, I make sure we accommodate personality differences - health and safety first - my house is able to comfortably accommodate off-set rotations and separate rooms.
