I will love your cat like my own
I have had cats my whole life. My first was a tortie named Pussywillow who walked out of the woods and "chose" my family. I really believe that cats choose their people. Since then I have had lots of experiences like this, from my friends’ cats curling up in my lap to stray cats coming up to me and befriending me on holiday. I love keeping an eye out for cats wherever I go who need a friendly pet. In addition to cat sitting, I foster kittens with a local organization and help socialize feral kittens and prepare them for adoption into loving homes. I love getting to know each new personality and watch them grow and thrive as they increase their confidence. I have lots of tricks and techniques for befriending shy kitties, whether through play, affection, or treats. I like to think I’m good at reading cats’ body language and respecting their boundaries, helping them trust me and get comfortable in my company. My first foster kitten was a cat named Heloise and I wound up adopting her. Sometimes you just know a cat is yours, and that was the case with Heloise. She was a beautiful grey floofy cat with a big glorious tail and lots of toe floof. We had four beautiful years together before she passed of cancer this summer. I know how important it is to love and cherish our animals in the brief time we have. As a person who loves to travel and also had a cat, I also understand how difficult it can be to leave a cat at home. With Heloise I couldn’t enjoy myself on vacation if I was worried about her or thought she might not be having a good time. It is my hope to earn your trust and show you that I can make your kitty feel happy and comfortable, and send you lots of updates so you can enjoy your holiday and know your cat is enjoying their time as well. I am a writer who works from home, so I have plenty of flexibility to cuddle and play with energetic kitties during the day.

Jenny was amazing! She was super accommodating with my changing schedule, was kind and patient with my very shy cat, and kept me updated with photos and messages throughout the day!
Jenny is always so kind, thoughtful and communicative. I never have to worry when boarding our 18 year old kitty Haiko with her. Jenny gets creative with making her “stairs” so Haiko can get up on the couch easier, gives her an heating pad and spoils her with treats. Haiko loves her and is so relaxed when she’s with Jenny. Highly recommended!
Jenny is just the best. She takes such good care of Luccie, sends me so many great photos and videos, and I always feel safe knowing my sweet gal is staying with her. The best part is Luccie seems to be really comfortable with Jenny.
Jenny was great! She was flexible when we had a schedule change and sent us frequent updates. Our cat seemed to be very happy and well loved!

Jenny is amazing was super kind to my kitty! Haiko is elderly & usually extremely shy with strangers. Jenny made her super comfortable and Haiko was relaxed her entire stay which put us at ease and allowed us to enjoy our vacay. Jenny sent daily updates with cute photos and I could see Haiko was getting lots of attention & enjoying lap time like she does at home. Highly recommend booking Jenny!

Schedule
I work from home, so if I'm caring for a cat in my home or yours, I'm around a lot and have plenty of opportunity to take breaks to play with a cat or cuddle.

Safety, trust & environment
I have my own apartment with no other pets. It is a quiet and peaceful environment. I have toys, catnip, treats, and lots of tricks and techniques to keep active kitties occupied and happy. While I only take one cat sitting client at a time, there may also be times when I have a foster kitten in my home. I keep foster kittens completely separate (your cat gets the larger apartment space), and you will always be notified beforehand.
A typical day
I mainly take care of cats. I work from home a lot, so I have lots of flexibility to play with an active cat! I have lots of toys and can provide enrichment and variety. I can also befriend shy cats and help them be comfortable in my space.
