When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow the established routine as closely as possible - feeding times, walk schedules and any specifics that the pet is used to. If a dog is allowed off-leash, I make sure all doors/gates are closed and secured. I pay attention for any changes in appetite, energy, or behavior and report them to the client promptly. I enjoy taking photos of pets, so I will also send photo updates! I also keep the place clean and respect any areas that are off-limits.

A typical day
I love to walk, and I would bring dogs to a nearby park so they can either play fetch, take their time sniffing and/or interacting with dogs if they are dog-friendly. I also enjoy playing with pets at home if that is their preference, and I like to talk to them!

Since I was a kid, I was obsessed with dogs. I watched a lot of shows and read books about dogs. Rescuing my dog in 2016 changed everything — he showed me how to listen, observe, and understand what dogs are really saying. That's the level of attention and care I bring to every dog I look after.

Our neighbor, Jenny, absolutely loves animals and has a special place in her heart for dogs in particular. She knows every dog in our neighborhood by name and has enjoyed getting to know each and every one of their personalities. Jenny has taken great care of our own pup, Lucy, when we've gone away on weekends, or needed an emergency walk during the work day. Our dog is reactive, which can be challenging for many people to handle, but Jenny can take care of all of Lucy's needs without any trouble at all. Jenny wants nothing than to love every dog in the world and would be happy to walk, pet, cuddle, or play with any dog out there!
