Dogs who are good off leash help me with around the farm. I don't have a fenced yard so I can only take high energy pups who are good off leash so they can run around the farm and get their energy out.

When not out around the farm (or on leashed walks for lower energy dogs who have to stay on leash) the dogs come into the barn apartment with me. I can only take dogs who are house trained and can sleep through the night while away from home. New pup guests tend to be a little anxious on their first day, so please plan to drop off your pup in the morning for their first stay so that they have plenty of time to settle in and we can all get a good night's sleep.

Unfortunately I cannot take dogs who chase cats unless they are lower energy dogs who can stay on leash the whole time. My cats get anxious when dogs chase them. Thank you for understanding!
A typical day
The dogs play around the farm. We play fetch for the ones who enjoy it. There's a big back field where we go for walks. If the dog is lower energy and mostly wants to sleep, they can stay inside and get potty breaks every few hours.

Beautiful farm for dog vacations
Pet care experience
I board and train horses at my farm. Boarded dogs stay on the horse farm with me. I'm on the farm all day so they are not left alone. Dogs get to go for walks in a beautiful natural setting while still being conveniently close to town. The farm has grass, trees, fields, and some trails and dogs get to see a horse usually for the first time (though they are usually not that interested)! I grew up with dogs and am, of course, an avid dog lover. I've been offering dog boarding for several years. I have two friendly dogs who help make guest canines comfortable and feel at home. All guest dogs are treated like members of the family. The number one concern is that they're happy! There are two creeks and plenty of mud, so dogs tend to get dirty.
