Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work from home as a children’s illustrator, which allows me to run my own schedule and plan my day around feeding times, walks, check-ins, and companionship rather than squeezing them in between meetings. I’m present throughout the day and able to adjust as needed to maintain each pet’s normal routine.

I like to know about a pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. This includes feeding schedules, medications, mobility issues, quirks, fears, or anything that helps them feel comfortable. I also appreciate knowing how they do with new people, other animals, and being alone so I can make our time together as smooth and stress-free as possible!
A typical day
Fun looks different for every pet! The magic word for our visits may be ball, walk, or outside! Or they may just love belly rubs and relaxing together. My goal is to make them feel like their routine hasn’t changed and stress free and enjoyable as possible!

I bring a lifetime of hands-on, practical animal care experience being the mama of a multi pet household. I’ve raised five puppies from very young ages (around six weeks), guiding them through early routines, house training, and consistent care. I’m also experienced with senior dogs, including those who require daily medications, supplements, and a more attentive, gentle approach. As now empty nester I have channeled my caregiving towards my 2 border collies. I love to hike and get out everyday to the hills to hike with my pups. I am very observant , and pay close attention to any stress, hesitancy and changes in behavior, appetite, or energy. I understand how important routine, calm energy, and clear communication are especially for young, aging, or sensitive pets. I’m comfortable and used to caring for multi-pet households and a wide range of animals. My goal is to put your mind at ease while you are away from your pet and provide the same care love and attention they will receive from you so both you and your pet will feel secure.

We’ve been so happy with Jennifer taking out our new puppy on days we can’t make it home from work. She’s super responsive and gives us lots of details and photos from her visits. It’s such a comfort knowing our growing and developing pup has a friendly caregiver to look after him when we need some extra support.
Jenn took incredible care of our charcoal lab! She checked in on him when asked, played with him, took him for walks, and helped him be some happy at home while we were away! It was so amazing not having to worry about our dog because we knew he was being so well cared for! Jenn sent pictures and updates and was very easy to communicate with. I will definitely hire her again!
