Significantly more attuned than the average person to the language of dogs and cats, I am incredibly caring and adore animals. I volunteer with Guide Dogs as a respite carer and have had dogs in my life since birth, (my first word was woof and that’s no lie) and then later cats … and rabbits, Guinea pigs, hamsters and horses. Friends and family often ask for my assistance caring for their pets and I have a reputation for being a dog / cat magnet.

Jennifer did a fantastic job looking after our chocolate lab, Eddie. Great communication and clearly looked after Eddie with a lot of love and attention. He was a very happy dog and looked great when we picked him up. Also dealt very well with Eddie’s sore paw and medication. Would thoroughly recommend Jennifer.

Jennie has looked after both my dog and my cat on several occasions, and I honestly couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is attentive, caring, patient, and incredibly kind, and it’s obvious how much she genuinely loves animals. My Labrador is very boisterous and can be a handful, but Jennie is confident and calm with him. She really listens to everything I tell her about his behaviour, routines, and needs, and she has taken the time to build a genuine relationship with him. He absolutely adores her and always responds so well to her. She’s one of the very few people I completely trust to walk him and care for him. My cat loves her too, which says a lot in itself. Animals naturally seem to gravitate towards Jennie because of the warmth and care she shows them. I always feel completely reassured knowing my pets are with her, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter or dog walker.
Jennie has looked after my 2 dogs with love and care for over 10 years. She’s great with reading body language, patient and caring. All you can ask for when someone is looking after the animal you love. Jennie’s great, you’ll be lucky to book her.

Schedule
I am a gardener and digital consultant, so I’ll either be at home or the dog can come out to work with me if they are well behaved and it’s something they would enjoy. Otherwise they will be left at my home - open plan kitchen and lounge for up to 4 hours (depending on the animal). The day starts with a walk, with another a dinner time. Cuddles on the sofa to end the day.

I have a fenced garden with grass, no other pets or children and I live on a quiet cul de sac in the heart of the Essex countryside with walks and fields in every direction.
A typical day
A typical day includes walks, playtime and cuddles. I can also work with your pet on training issues that you might need assistance with. It’s very important to me that we are clear on behavioural issues before we work together. I am very patient and happy to try and help with behaviours that might need some one-to-one work with your pet.
