I have 25+ years experience of owning dogs, cats, fish and a leopard gecko. I have experience walking large dogs, small dogs and puppies. I was a volunteer for 4+ years and now have been a cat fostering for 2+ years with the humane society. My career is in animal care and I’ve worked with a large variety of species from parrots to raccoons to snakes. I’ve worked at a polar bear sanctuary, as a wildlife rehabilitator, a researcher and a zookeeper. My patience and keen eye for detail have allowed me to excel in my career. I am reliable, responsible and safety oriented. Any behavioural training I have done at my jobs has been positive reinforcement and the skills are directly transferable to dogs and cats (I’ve even trained my own cats to shake paws, weigh themselves on a scale and walk on a leash).
