Vet assistant / stay-at-home mom
I was a veterinary assistant with Banfield Pet Hospital for 4 years until I became a stay-at-home mom to my 2 kiddos. I was a room nurse and a surgical technician assisting with anesthesia and dental cleanings. I learned to care for special needs dogs and cats, administer medications orally as well as by injection. I am able to pick up on subtle cues from a pet if they are feeling unwell. After leaving Banfield I worked in a private mobile veterinary business and I still work on Modays there. I really enjoyed my job and making sure that the animals I worked with felt safe and loved during their time with me since it was such a high stress environment. I am an athletic gal that enjoys getting out to go on walks or jogs with my kids and my own miniature poodle. My human kiddos are 7 and 4 now so they really enjoy playing with pups and cats, but they are very gentle. My poodle's name is Esperanza (Essie.) She's a spirited thing that loves to play but also loves to lounge on the sofa. I have previously been lucky to have shared my life with a pit bull, a border collie mix, and flat coated retriever mix, a boston terrier mix and a chihuahua - all of which were couch and bed dwellers. I'm very much pro-furniture with all my fur kiddos and fur visitors as I feel like they should be treated as family. I previously mentioned that I am a stay-at-home Mom, so I do offer an extended amount of nurturing and attention as well as offering flexible walking schedules. I have experience in small mammal care as well. I am most comfortable with guinea pigs, ferrets, and rabbits.

I do respect the pet's space if we are just meeting or if they prefer to not be around many people. I will try to stay in view as often as they allow and give them the chance to engage if they like. I take things slow, and will make sure they feel comfortable with my presence.

Jennifer was amazing with our cat! He is kinda shy so it was such a relief he warmed up to Jennifer as she went out of her way to pet and play with him. We are so impressed with her drop in visits. Highly recommend her!
Jennifer is a caring and thoughtful sitter! My recently diagnosed CKD kitty was in good hands for more than a week, and Jennifer would problem solve all my cat’s little quirks and needs and keep me in the loop. Jennifer was great. Highly communicative, asked good questions, followed the care instructions, and even took care of stuff we forgot to ask for (like taking the trash bins to the curb). My dog loved having her around, and even my cats (who are rather standoffish) warmed up to her by the end of the visits. Will rebook whenever we need a sitter.
Excellent responses and care for my cats! Could not ask for a better cat visitor. Very caring and attentive to all details.

Schedule
I am available during most days of the week, except Monday, but my husband can help if I'm unavailable. I am unavailable during school drop off and pick up times but if your schedule is flexible on visit times, then I can make it work.
