***Please read my entire profile before booking*** *All bookings require a Meet & Greet. *I do not accept next-day bookings from new clients. Cats and small pets: I am available for cat care drop-ins most days, as long as you're flexible about the time 😸 Dogs Current availability for recurring walks: I have one opening for recurring walks in Potomac or North Bethesda at 1 pm, Tuesday and Thursday I have a decade of experience training my own dogs, and a lifetime of experience with all kinds of pets. I employ positive reinforcement training methods. My background includes education in canine psychology and study of the evolutionary development of the canine-human relationship. The well-being of your pet is of utmost importance to me! I want to know all about their personality and any special needs. I am currently accepting recurring clients so that I can develop a good relationship with your dog or cat. My goal is to be the kind of walker I would want for my own pets: on time, dependable, and respectful of your home. Your pet has my full attention when I am with them. I do not use retractable leashes! All dogs must have a 6' woven leash. EZ Walk type harnesses are preferred. No pinch collars. IMPORTANT BOARDING INFORMATION: 1. A meet and greet at my house is required. 2. Your dog MUST be cat-friendly and non-destructive. 3. A boarding period is 24 hours. Drop off and pick up times are 4:30 to 7 pm every day except Tuesday. On Tuesdays, 3 to 4:30 pm or 7 to 8 pm. 4. Enough food must be provided for the entire boarding period. 5. I will be out walking clients or running errands between 2 and 4 hours each day. 6. Boarders must be up to date on vaccines and flea and tick medication. All walking clients must anticipate a window for their walks rather than a specific time, and be flexible so that I can plan the most efficient route. Each client must fill out and sign a contract with me so that I have all the information I need to care for your pet, and so that you are informed of my policies. Please remember that Rover does not employ pet sitters; they simply handle scheduling and payments. Communication is vital: I need to know if your pet has any special needs, a limited diet, or environmental triggers, and what your home routine is (ie, shoes on or off, location of leashes and treats, etc.) Free parking must be available. If the client is not at home during the visit, keys or door codes must be provided. Clients with a shoes-off policy must provide shoe covers.

Jennifer is the best, we've been using her for several months now. She is so responsive and meets all of our needs for our dog who can be pretty reactive. She also leaves very detailed and fun Rover cards.

Such a great experience and would highly recommend. She was so caring and attentive to all of the needs of my dog. My pup has some medical issues and Jen was willing to help and understanding of all the needs. I felt really comfortable having her watch my pup and would do it again!

Jennifer can host up to 1 drop-in per day
I would like to know about your dog's personality, especially their likes and dislikes, and any important triggers. I will need to know about their diet, medications, and their favorite treats. I want to know about their favorite activities, such as playing, training, hiking, going in the water, or just cuddling on the sofa. I love all breeds of dogs and cats. PLEASE NOTE: I do not use negative reinforcement methods. That means no pinch collars, no electric collars, no spray bottles, intimidation or corporal punishment. Negative reinforcement is damaging to all dogs, and can absolutely ruin a sensitive, reactive dog.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
