Jennifer worked as a kennel manager/veterinary assistant with me for 10 years at a very reputable, busy animal hospital in the suburbs of Chicago. She has a strong work ethic rooted from her hard-working parents. Her attention to detail and good memory allow her to notice subtle nuances in the appearance, behavior and habits of the animals in her care so she is able to notice when the animals needed more care and attention. The veterinarians were always impressed in her ability to "read" the animals. This intuition and devotion also seemed to be sensed by the animals and Jennifer was able to soothe the most frightened or agitated pets by her soft, calming voice and slow deliberate movements (she is a pet whisperer). She cared for each pet as if they were her own. Jennifer is reliable, trustworthy, honest and dedicated. She is a caregiver, a lover of animals and of people. She has pets of her own and knows how important it is to trust someone with her own pets. This is the main reason why Jennifer would be an excellent dog-walker and pet sitter, she doesn't see a line between pets and family members, she knows pets ARE family members. She is experienced in successfully giving medications to dogs and cats, light grooming and even giving injections of insulin. Jennifer is strong and can handle walking large breed dogs and although she is gentle with animals, she is also firm to keep the dogs on a lead safe (to keep them from pulling/ getting away).
