Availability
I have a relatively flexible work schedule so if you have a specific time that you need coverage I may be able to accommodate it. I'm a CUNY professor so your cats can help me grade papers! (Kidding!) My schedule is flexible, though, and I'm happy to hang out and read, etc. at your place to keep your cats company while you're away. I have kittens so I'm used to the zoomies! I also have experience with senior cats. I look forward to meeting you and your cats!

Safety, trust & environment
I unfortunately can't watch your pets in my home because I have four cats already, but I'm happy to come to your place to pet sit and do basic home care (watering plants, bringing in packages, etc.). I can also administer medication and fluids as needed.
Information Jennifer S. would like to know about your pet
It's good to know if the cat likes to hide, whether they run out the door when it's opened, special instructions for feeding, how much interaction to expect, etc.
A typical day
I'll bring fun toys and treats with me on my visits to see your cats if that’s something that they’d like. I know that cats are wary of strangers so I'm happy to keep a distance, too, if that's what your cat needs. After taking care of the basics (food, litter box, etc.) we’ll have some play time (if the kitty wants!) or I’ll hang out and read for a bit to give your cat some company while you’re away.

Cat care experience
I grew up with cats and dogs and I've been a cat mom since I adopted my Russian Blue, Milo, back in 2006. He passed away last year at age 17 after years of kidney disease. I recently adopted two kittens, Leo & Elsie, to keep my two year old cat Mochi company. This fall I foster-failed Yuki, a tiny kitten found by a friend. I have four cats and friends joke that I'm one cat away from being the cat lady from the Simpsons. I have experience with cats at all ages, from kittens (I got Leo & Elsie when they were about 9 weeks old!) to senior cats and have dealt with kidney issues and cancer so I understand the importance of special diets, medication, fluids, etc. I'm happy to discuss your cat's needs to give them the best care while you're away.
Reviews

Jennifer was fantastic—even our most bashful cat, who had to be allowed to eat in the bedroom on her first day, was showing up to greet Jen at the front door by the end of her gig. We got plenty of photos from each session, and they were happy and full of energy when I finally came home. I would definitely ask her to take care of our cats again!
My cat is a huge pain, but she always deal with him. She really goes the extra mile to try to get to know him and take care of him, even though he attacks.
She is the most dedicated cat sitter. My cat keeps attacking sitters, but she is very dedicated to trying to work with him.

Jennifer was great! Very communicative throughout the check-ins and very patient with our shy cats. She also helped bring in packages and cleaned up the litter area for us, which was much appreciated. We’d love to book her again.
