Hi, I’m Jennifer the owner of Holmlea Happy Hounds 👋 I provide reliable and nurturing home dog boarding, dog walking and pet sitting in the Kilmarnock area — where your pet becomes part of our family. I only board a small number of dogs at a time so each one gets the love and care they deserve. 🐾 Experience I have experience caring for dogs of different breeds and sizes on short and long term basis. I understand how important routine is, and I will follow your dog’s usual schedule for feeding, walking and sleeping. I also have experience caring for small animals in and outside my home. I’ve attended to cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, geckos, hamsters, tortoises and fish.

Jennifer and her family took exceptional care with our 2 year old mini labradoodle Jura these past 8 days. We were sent regular updates and fab photos of Jura. Jura was taken on a variety of walks ranging from woodland, beaches and parks. Jura was welcomed into the family home and the standard of care was outstanding. Seeing how much fun Jura was having made being away from her so much easier as we knew she was in great hands. Thanks again to Jennifer and her family for everything. Can highly recommend Jennifer for dog boarding and will definitely rebook.
Skye is quite timid and this was her first time away from us. Jennifer could not have been nicer and helped hugely to settle her in and make it a positive experience for Skye and us. We received daily updates and photos. Jennifer took on board Skye’s routine and used the information we gave her to provide the best week for our girl.
This was our first time using Jennifer and we have already booked her another twice already! Jennifer and her family looked after our wee Buddy so well, it was his Birthday when he was there and they made it so special for him. I instantly knew Buddy would be in safe hands and Jennifer made me feel so relaxed with her little pics and updates. Thank you Jennifer 🐶
Jennifer was kind, helpful and efficient at getting back to me, and making quick arrangements for a stay as well as squeezing in a Meet and Greet beforehand. I was impressed with the Meet & Greet, as well as showing us around her home and garden, Jennifer wanted to go for a walk with Digory and ourselves so that she could see firsthand how to handle him. Very reassuring. From the start, it was clear to us that Digory was settled and happy. Regular messages, questions and pictures assured us that he was being carefully and thoughtfully looked after.
Midge and Zog had a great walk with Jennifer in Dundonald Glen. Her communication was good and prompt, I'm not a regular Rover user, but I'd be happy to use Jennifer again.
Jennifer looked after our two cocker spaniels overnight. This was her 1st time looking after our girls and she came for a meet and greet a couple of weeks before and learned all about our dogs and their needs. They were treated as part of her family, and walked several times with lots of photos to update us along the way. The dogs seemed very happy and relaxed. I would not hesitate to use Jennifer again or recommend Jennifer to anyone needing dog sitting in the Ayrshire area.

Schedule
I am currently an Early Years Practitioner part time, term time. I can devote my time to care for your fur and non fur babies all school holidays and weekends. I work Wed, Thurs and every 2nd Friday so I can also offer long weekends during term time.
