I work from home building my business, so I’ve got flexibility — and yes, I can usually handle last-minute runs and walks. My dogs live for outdoor time (Nellie insists on her two-mile morning run), and I fully support their commitment to fresh air and movement. Your dog gets that same freedom and attention.

Your dog’s safety isn’t optional — it’s the standard. My dogs are everything to me, and yours get that same level of care. From shady river paths near King William and HemisFair Park to smart, shade-first routes by your home, every walk and run is planned with comfort, awareness, and trust in mind. -Insured Dog Runner

⚠️ Important Disclaimer For your dog’s safety, services are not recommended for dogs with medical conditions, injuries, or mobility limitations that restrict running unless cleared by a veterinarian. Dogs must be leash-trained and able to safely participate in outdoor activity. Additionally, Texas heat is no joke, and your dog’s safety always comes first. All walks, runs, and outdoor activities are closely monitored and adjusted based on temperature, humidity, and pavement conditions. To keep your dog safe: •Routes prioritize shade, grass, and cooler surfaces •Activity intensity and duration are modified or shortened as needed •Water breaks and rest periods are built in •Sessions may shift to slower walks or calm enrichment during extreme heat If conditions are unsafe, outdoor activity may be paused, rescheduled, or modified for your dog’s well-being. Heat safety decisions are made in real time and always err on the side of caution. -Insured Dog Runner
A typical day
A typical day depends entirely on your dog’s personality and mood — because obviously. We might start with a short run, pivot into a sprint, or downgrade to a mosey, or fully commit to vibes-only strolling. Some days we hit the park for chaos: chasing each other, aggressive fetch, and dramatic pauses to observe ducks and squirrels plotting something suspicious. We may sprint. We may stroll. We may sit in the grass and judge strangers together. For dogs who believe the ball is life: yes, I bring a Chuckit! I understand the assignment. Your dog goes home exercised, mentally satisfied, and significantly less feral. -Insured Dog Runner

Pet care experience
If your dog has rocket-fuel energy, Olympic-level zoomies, or simply thinks walks are a scam, I’m your girl. I’ll bring them back happy, exercised, and significantly less likely to redecorate your house with chew marks. Benefits: Run it out or lose your mind. (Zoomies don't pay rent) Healthy Weight. Anxiety leaves the chat= Peace through exhaustion. Tire the brain. Silence the chaos= Mental stimulation. I'm a lifelong runner (28 years) and dog lover with a Blue Heeler (having owned two) and Heeler/ Husky mix, I understand their high energy and exercise requirements. Every session is geared towards their needs for the day. I still do offer,"Mosey walks" perfect for older/ senior dogs (Ranger is 10), or less energetic pups who still love to explore. Additionally, a TON of love and attention. I live in the King William area and two blocks from the river. My ultimate goal is a happy, well exercised dog, who sleeps well at night or even if they have to be put back in their kennel. I'm punctual, communicative, and send updates. Jenn
Reviews

Jennifer is an exceptional dog walker who takes wonderful care of my buddy, Rosendo. He absolutely looks forward to his daily walks, runs, and playdates with her. Jennifer is not only caring and reliable, but also an excellent communicator—she always keeps us updated and informed. We’re so grateful to have her!
Jennifer, you are an absolute lifesaver! Our dog, Ashley, clearly had the most wonderful time with you. From your prompt communication and detailed updates (the photos were amazing!), to the genuine care and attention you gave Ashley, we couldn't have asked for a better sitter. We truly appreciated your willingness to accommodate her quirky eating schedule or how you kept us informed during that brief thunderstorm. It's clear you're not just a sitter, but a true dog lover. We came home to a happy, well-exercised, and clearly loved pup. Thank you so much for giving us such peace of mind while we were away. We'll definitely be rebooking!
Jennifer is super trustworthy! Very professional, on time and organized. Plus she truly loves Dogs! I highly recommend her and know you won’t be disappointed :)

Jennifer was so fantastic! Our dog adored her and is completely exhausted from all their walking and playing. She went above and beyond what we requested. And she really, really cares about dogs. We had forgotten the sidewalks in Texas could get beastly this early in the summer and forgot his booties, but we needn’t have worried—Super Jen picked Willy up and carried him home! She is truly fantastic. We have had TONS of dogsitters over the years, many of them through Rover, and Jennifer is our absolute favorite (and Willy’s, too!)
