Come Home to Happy Wags and Kisses!
Not only have I had dogs my entire life, I have 20 years of experience caring for dogs in my home for dogs of all ages. Besides experience administering oral meds, I can do subcutaneous fluid administration and insulin. My yard is nearly a 1/2 acre with a 6 foot privacy fence and my floors are all tile so that puppy/elderly accidents are no problem.

Ratings and reviews
Jennifer was fantastic with our three dogs—Axel, Yannis, and Jaxson. She maintained great communication throughout their stay, sending multiple videos each day that gave us peace of mind and let us see how happy they were. Her large backyard was a huge plus, giving the dogs plenty of space to run, play, and burn off energy. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely trust her with our dogs again.

Thank you for watching my 2 year old GSD and 6 year old Goldendoodle babies for 20 days. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my babies were being well taken care of and sharing the videos of them having fun every day. Also, appreciate you being in WhatsApp and chatting as needed. Best part was that my dogs came home healthy with being spoiled with home cooked food, thanks for that too.. I am so glad to have found you that I will never go to any dog care centers as long as you can have my babies again.
Jennifer has been watching our yorkie for almost 7 years. She treats him as if he is part of her family and always goes the extra mile to make sure he is comfortable and well taken care of. We love the personal attention he receives and the daily text updates on how he is doing. She regularly sends us photos of how much he is enjoying his vacation, which allows to enjoy ours. This why we have trusted her with our fur baby for years.
Jennifer with Carolina Critter Sitters has been a godsend for us. We’ve used her over the life span of two dogs now - so for years. We wouldn’t trust our pets with anyone else. She is caring and compassionate. She truly has a heart to care for pets in a loving and extraordinary way. She’s easy to work with, and our dog now considers her house a home away from home! He especially loves it when other dogs are visiting and they can chase each other around the huge back yard or slide down the porch slide. We love that Jennifer treats Cody like her own & that he’s so happy and comfortable there. It makes traveling so much easier for us, knowing he’s in great hands.
I can't say enough about how great it was to keep my two dogs with Jennifer! One dog is a 5-year-old yellow lab that is still all puppy. The other dog just turned 15 and has some health issues. I had been having someone come visit the older dog three times a day when I was out of town (the young dog was boarded). But the older dog got scared when it rained or the power went out, and had accidents all the time (when she never does). So I gave Jennifer a try with both dogs, and it was such a relief to: 1) have both dogs together, and 2) to have around-the-clock care for the older dog. Jennifer sent pictures or videos everyday and it did my heart good to know how well they were both taken care of. Every aspect of working with Jennifer was outstanding and I am so grateful to have her referred to me by a friend. 5+ stars for her!
We've had the absolute pleasure of having Jennifer Rust care for our two Bernedoodles, Samson and Delilah, for the past couple of years, and we cannot recommend her highly enough. From the very beginning, Jennifer has been everything we could ever hope for in a dog sitter; reliable, attentive, kind, and truly devoted to our dogs' well-being. Jennifer takes the time to understand their personalities, quirks, and routines, and she always ensures they get plenty of exercise, affection, and playtime. We've always come home to happy, relaxed dogs and can tell they feel safe and loved in her care. One thing that really sets Jennifer apart is her excellent communication. She sends regular updates and photos while we're away, which gives us total peace of mind. Whether it's a long trip or just a weekend away, we know our babies are in the best possible hands. Jennifer is trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about animals. We feel so lucky to have found her and can't imagine trusting anyone else with our dogs . If you're looking for someone who will go above and beyond for your pets, Jennifer Rust is the one!

Schedule
I work part time and generally not away from my home for more than 4 hours a day. Pet care is my life's passion and have been fortunate to do it since 2006.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a cul-de-sac that backs up to the woods. My yard is nearly a 1/2 acre with a 6 foot privacy fence and my floors are all tile so that puppy/elderly accidents are no problem. The dogs are allowed on the couch and in my bed, unless they are crate trained.
Pets
A typical day
We all play in my large half yard fenced in yard. Play fetch in the yard as well as play with other dogs inside and outside. Dogs are not left unattended outside.

- They must get along with other dogs. We do a consultation at my home to see how the dog does in this environment. Have they ever hurt a cat? My cats have access to get away from house guest dogs, but if a dog has wounded a cat, they may not be a good fit here. Are they food aggressive and need to eat separately? Are they toy or treat aggressive?
