I'm available most weekdays. I work from home and am able to be present and provide active play. I encourage naps with appropriate play breaks to help ease any anxiety. I limit errands to days and times without dog guests though if staying more than a week, I’ll limit time away to not more than two hours.

I have a large grassy yard I am working to enclose with a 6’ fence that should be completed by fall 2026. This free range yard surrounds the house. I currently take my girl for hour walks in the morning and after dinner. We'll all walk together as possible. You'll tell me your pet's "I gotta go" cues (and we keep a bell by the door also). Our home is non-smoking and pets are welcome on the furniture and beds. They are bathed* if get too dirty from play. Food from the dinner table is forbidden to pets. I'm used to taking time to prepare healthy food for my 🐾 girl - so special dietary needs and separate feeding spaces is acceptable for yours. Our entrance has a three step climb and the house has a combo of wood and carpeted floors. *I am a shoes off household, so will wipe dog paws at entrance -in your house or mine.

It's important our dogs get along and I recommend a meet and greet with our two pets prior to their stay as possible. I'll appreciate knowing if they are territorial over their food and certain toys as well as anything else to be on the look out for and/or accommodate. Let me know preferred treats you offer and any special attention that will be needed during their stay with me. (For overnighters plan to provide a clean-ish blanket with your scent on it for their calming needs, supply of food adequate for their stay with instructions on quantities, current pee/poo schedule, and doctor + insurance info should an emergency arise)
A typical day
We will walk daily around the rural neighborhood near my home. There will be play in the house & yard daily along with a puzzle-(food)-toy provided in the afternoon with pre approved snacks.

Notice: I am reestablishing my household- I am in process of installing a 6’ fence around the large grassy yard. I understand the importance of a truly loving, safe, and "like family" care experience. Over the past twenty years, I have house-sat family and friends' dogs as well - in their home and mine, all sizes of dogs. Food and break schedules will be honored to help your dog best. I have raised and successfully trained a loving high maintenance Weimaraner. She is 7 years old now and loves other dogs. I'm ready to give your fur baby love and attention to ease their anxiety with your absence.

Tango had a great time with Jennifer and her dog, Madeline when I dropped him off for a day of play while visiting Saugatuck. Jennifer has a huge yard where my pup could race around and expend all his energy (and Madeline was very tolerant of him). Jennifer took extra care with Tango when they got out of the heat and went indoors, allowing the two dogs to sleep separately and comfortable. Then Tango got to play in the spray hose for a while. He came home happy and exhausted. Jennifer is a super dog caregiver and I wouldn't hesitate to take Tango back there. She is an experienced dog sitter and also very sweet and thoughtful person.
Jennifer was great and took lots of photos and videos of Zoey all day. Zoey was so happy when we picked her up.
Jennifer was amazing with my boy Jasper! She has a great back yard for dogs to run and she took him for a walk. I received lots of pictures and videos which I appreciated so much. I will absolutely connect with Jennifer again! She’s wonderful!
Jennifer was wonderful! My husband and I booked a last minute four night trip and Jennifer was quick to respond and available. Jennifer spoiled my dogs in all the right ways - lots of love, play, walks, and time together. They needed it and I was worried they wouldn’t want to come home. Will definitely be using Jennifer again. One of my dogs does have some food aggression and guarding behaviors but Jennifer took the right precautions and was sensitive to her needs. Jennifer sent lots of updates and photos which I loved! I definitely recommend Jennifer!
