Before caring for any pet, I like to know as much as possible about their routine, personality, and preferences. This includes things like: Feeding times and dietary needs (including any allergies or sensitivities) Medical history, medications, or ongoing health concerns Behaviour quirks — are they shy, excitable, vocal, territorial, cuddly, or independent? What helps them feel calm and safe (and what stresses them out) How they typically respond to strangers, new environments, or being left alone Any household rules they follow (like furniture boundaries or walk routines) Emergency contact info, vet details, and anything else you'd like me to know The more I understand about your pet and their normal day-to-day life, the better I can keep things consistent and stress-free for them while you’re away.

Every pet is different, so I always adapt to their personality, energy level, and preferences. For dogs, I offer engaging walks, playtime with their favourite toys, basic enrichment games, and plenty of cuddles or calm company if that’s more their style. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a sniff-filled stroll, or a gentle brush-down, I make sure they feel happy, stimulated, and cared for. For cats, I bring along toys like feather wands, catnip mice, or treat puzzles, depending on what they enjoy. Some love to play, others just want quiet companionship, a warm lap, or someone to chat to! I also include a free sample of my handmade Artemis & Co. treats (with your permission). My focus is always on making pets feel safe, loved, and relaxed while you're away — whether that means playtime, enrichment, or simply being present with them in their space.
