Pet care experience

“Pawsionate” about animal care 🥰

*Please read all details on my profile to learn about my specific availability and what each service entails* Nothing brightens up my life more than being around a furry friend. Pets are truly a part of the family, and leaving them in the care of someone else can be terrifying— I understand! My goal is to relieve those worries and make sure both you and your fur baby are at ease. I have had cats my entire life and have been an active dog/cat sitter since I was 12/13 years old— I am now 29. I have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember! When I’m done spending my workday as a communications manager in the higher education sector, I dedicate my free time to animals. You will often find me volunteering at animal shelters, snuggling with my own two fur babies, or petsitting for a precious pup or kitty cat. I have a strong client base with lots of references. A number of my clients are actually veterinarians themselves, so if they trust me with their own animals, you should too! If you leave your sweet pet with me, I guarantee it will be showered with love, affection, and care. 💛 Note about pricing: Prices are not negotiable. Please understand that after Rover fees and taxes, Rover sitters only pocket 50% of their earnings from bookings-- and that's not even taking personal vehicle wear and tear & gas into account. 😢

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I cannot care for clients’ pets in my own home because I have two sweet kitty cats who wouldn’t appreciate any furry visitors. 😊 That being said, I am fully comfortable staying at clients’ homes with their pets. When I stay at a client’s home, I am able to do any typical petsitting services— walking, feeding, playing, etc. Note: If your furbaby is a skilled hunter and happens to kill a wild animal (squirrels, chickens, birds, frogs— just to name a few that I’ve encountered😭) at your house/backyard while in my care, I will do my very best to dispose of the remains and restrict access to that area to ensure your furbaby’s safety. That being said, a minimum prey clean-up fee of $150 will be added to the total booking price since dead prey disposal falls outside of standard petsitting services.

Jennifer might have somehow loved our cat more than we do lol. She did such an amazing job. We will definitely keep her at the top of the list next time we need a sitter.

Schedule

Availability: Drop-in Visits -Monday: Available after 6:15pm -Tuesday: Available after 6:15pm -Wednesday: Available after 6:15pm -Thursday: Available before 9am and after 5:00pm -Friday: Available before 9am and after 5:00pm -Saturday: Full availability -Sunday: Full availability *NOTE: Each visit officially begins once I park at your home (the 30- or 60-minute timer on the rover card will start). If you live in an apartment complex that has a sizable parking garage and/or requires a lengthy walk to your specific unit, please keep that in mind when deciding between a 30- and 60-minute visit (to maximize the amount of time spent with your furbaby) because the time it takes me to walk from your parking area to your home will be considered as part of the visit. If you have questions about this, I’d be happy to explain more! *NOTE: Drop-in visits do not include walks that are longer than 10 minutes. I am happy to take your doggo outside to go potty and/or stretch its legs for a bit, but any walks longer than that should be classified as a dog-walking service (not offering dog-walking at the moment). Housesitting -I am only able to accept housesitting clients whose furbabies are comfortable going 5-6 hours between potty breaks. -I will likely come and go throughout the day (swinging by to care for & love on your furry friends usually every 4-6 hours) and then spend the night at your home. -If your dog needs to be walked, I am able to provide one 15/20-minute walk per day as long as your furbaby is not a large dog and they are a fairly low-maintenance walking buddy. (The safety of your furbaby is my top priority, so I only walk dogs that I am certain I could hold back or pick up if there was a threat) -I'd be happy to bring in your mail, water any plants, take out your trash, etc. while at your home (no additional charge)! *NOTE: Housesitting is not constant care. I do not offer constant care services outside of the standard 30/60-min drop-in visits.

I’d love to know about your doggo’s general demeanor and personality, routine, if it is crate trained vs free roaming, any special needs or medications, toy preferences, and its favorite activities! Please note that if your dog has a history of aggression or is a more aggressive playmate (lots of jumping), I am not the pet sitter for you. I love big dogs, but I am not strong enough to hold a big dog back if it decides to charge at someone/another animal or hold a large dog down if it is jumping.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
