Availability
I work remotely from home 3 days a week and in office in NY Tuesdays and Wednesdays. That said, if I have a booking on those days with advance notice I can accommodate. My husband Brian also works out of the home and is typically home by 3pm each day.

I treat my clients like they are my own babies. I always require a meet and greet to ensure I get the lay of the land and to meet my clients! I want to follow your/their routine.

Information Jennifer M. would like to know about your pet
A few things I ask everyone: 1) meds to be administered? 2) food or toy aggression? 3) Any stranger danger? 4) Prey drive (especially for walking requests)?
A typical day
It depends on the animals personality of course. I can chill on the couch with your couch potato, I can run around your backyard with them like a crazy, I can read to them, I can play with all the cat toys and laser pointers to your cats content. All of the above? Sure thing. For boarding stays, I typically only take short overnight or up to 3 days due to my in office schedule on Tuesday and Wednesday. For full transparency, your dogs will likely never meet my dogs or cat. Sounds harsh but that’s based on many years in the rescue world where when you’re taking an animal outside the environment they know and into a new one, it’s stressful for them and they need time to decompress. Introducing other animals can be harmful before a 1week or 2 week settling period. My male dog is also very selective on who he likes. This is also why I do shorter stays. That said, my dogs stay upstairs and yours will be downstairs (not like dungeony basement downstairs 😃-don’t worry). This is how I manage any fosters I have and it works great. Either myself or my husband sleep downstairs for those days and my office and our den and exercise space is also down there so someone is always around. The downstairs is also easy access to the fenced backyard.

Most trusted on Rover!
Pet care experience
I’ve been an animal rescue volunteer for over 15 years with many medical and behavioral fosters during that time. I have 2 dogs and a cat of my own and always treat my dog and cat clients like family! I have also done check-ins for rabbits and guinea pigs so feel free to reach out.
Cat care experience

Jennifer also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews
Jennifer has been great cat sitter. I always know they are in good hands with her.
Jennifer was great sitter for my 5 cats.

This is the third time this summer we have booked Jenn to watch our two cats, and fourth time since living in Jersey. We always appreciate the pictures of our fur babies Jenn sends, and her professionalism. Jenn is an excellent caretaker, and we highly recommend hiring her for drop in visits!
Jennifer was amazing. This was my first time using Rover and I was really nervous but Jennifer made everything wonderful. She came for a meet and greet and my dogs Immediately liked her. She was on time with the visits and sent me pictures. She was very thorough in explaining each visit. I came home to a clean house and happy pet’s. Thank you!
