My family has owned dogs my entire life, including Maremma, Border Collie, Dachshund, Golden Retriever, English Bulldog, Labrador, Poodle, Chihuahua, Beagle, Boxer, Pitbull, and Doberman. I grew up half of my life on a farm with every kind of animal and have always had a patient, loving relationship with all animals. We had several cats too. I talk with animals and care about their sense of well-being, comfort, and joy. I have experience with special needs purebreds and geriatric pets. I worked for a year at the NY Dog Spa & Hotel as a dog sitter and dog walker, having experience with specialty diets and breeds. I have been dog sitting at client's homes for over 10 years and enjoy the privilege every time. Through pet sitting I get to spend time with and care for others' companions, which is a blessing, as I am far from the fur babies in my life.

Safety, trust & environment
It’s important to know the behavior of each animal, prior to watching them. I pay attention to each pet, checking the safety of environment, what they are chewing on, their mood and any symptoms. It is important to be aware of the normal behaviors and actions of each pet and to watch for changes and be able to read on animal for stress and also to protect them in the right environment. This includes, depending on the fur and environment, checking for other critters.

In my years of hiring house sitters to care for my fur babies, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some wonderful individuals. However, Jennifer has truly set the bar. She is reliable, patient, knowledgeable, observant, responsive, proactive, and incredibly loving. Daisy, my more cautious dog, doesn’t trust strangers easily, but from the moment Jennifer arrived, she was able to earn Daisy's trust. It was clear that Daisy felt safe and comforted in her presence, which exceeded my expectations. Jennifer kept me updated throughout her stay, sending frequent pictures and videos. These updates made me feel connected to my little dog and gave me invaluable peace of mind while I was away. On top of her excellent care, Jennifer went above and beyond by cleaning the house before she left, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.
Jennifer did a great job with my pups. Most importantly she made sure my oldest received her insulin shot ,which was my biggest concern. The dogs were well cared for and my house was as clean as I had left it. So glad I found her!
Jennifer bonded well with our two dogs Wyatt and Sally and took very good care of them. She provided us with numerous updates, photos and videos which was reassuring while we were away. She took great care of our home and left things in perfect order. We would highly recommend Jennifer for your dog and house sitting needs.
