I meticulously follow instructions and treat your dog as my own. When walking, I: ~ avoid face-to-face contact with other dogs. ~ am attuned to air and pavement temperature and know how to safely cool down an overheated dog. ~ keep an eye out for foxtails and other risks. ~ don't use retractable leashes unless you insist. ~ don't do group walks. ~ don't do dog parks.

A typical day
I vary walks to keep it interesting and ensure lots of new sniffs. I plan routes based on your dog's needs. If I have permission from you, walks and visits will include high-quality/value treats.

Hello! I’m new to Rover, but not new to dogs. After 26 years in a demanding career, I’m retired from the proverbial hamster wheel and making dogs my fulltime job. I strongly prefer to meet your dog(s) before walking/dropping in. ~ I have a soft spot for seniors and have over six years of experience supporting senior dogs, including those with anxiety, medical needs, and histories of abuse and neglect. Three of my five dogs have been deaf. I’m comfortable with medication routines, gentle handling, and reading subtle body language cues. ~ I’ve worked with a wide range of breeds and temperaments as a volunteer dog walker with Colorado Humane and Longmont Humane Society. ~ I hold the Dog Trainer Comprehensive Certificate from Karen Pryor Academy. While I don’t offer training services, I use positive reinforcement and value providing fear‑free, confidence‑building experiences.
