Doggies, Kitties and Chickees-Oh My
I have spent my whole life around dogs. Between the dogs I grew up with and my own senior rescue. For the last 15 years, my neighbors and friends have trusted me with sitting, caring and walking their furry four legged friends. I have spent time volunteering for a rescue dog agency (walking and caring for the dogs). The same agency I adopted my own rescue from: a goofy rescue beagle mix. I am, also, the proud owner of a small backyard flock of ducks and chickens. By caring for 11 animals the last 6 years, it has deepened my understanding and patience for animal care. Also, I have a great deal of knowledge on providing medication and caring for sick animals. Furthermore, my 12 years of teaching allowed me to develop a unique set of skills that supports my ability to care for animals. I am reliable, not easily rattled in different situations, have a great deal of patience, rarely raise my voice and I have a high tolerance for noise. (Which could be from the ducks and my beagle. They certainly like to express themselves.) I would love to help take care of your animals from walking to play dates to sitting. I have always loved animals and helping others. I can't wait to meet your four-legged family members.

Safety, trust & environment
In my home, I have an electric fence so my dog is able to run freely with some supervision. He is allowed (when given permission) to sleep on the sofa and bed. My ducks and chickens have a large fenced in run. For client's homes, it is whatever routines and rules that have already been established. I will respect what you ask of me. I wouldn't want to interrupt the care and routine you have already created for your pets. However, I will keep dogs on leash while I walk them.

Jennifer took amazing care of our cat while we were away on an extended vacation. We adore our little man and were very anxious to leave him, but after the first visit it was clear he was in wonderful hands. Her attention to detail with his care, her responsiveness, and the way she handled anything unexpected gave us so much peace of mind. Her communication was exceptional — her notes and photos were thoughtful, consistent, and truly made us feel like she appreciated our pet as much as we do. Our cat was relaxed and happy when we returned, which says everything about the level of comfort she created for him. She also treated our home with great respect and took extra care to keep our cat’s environment neat and clean. The entire experience was smooth, reliable, and far above our expectations. We would absolutely book her again and are so grateful we trusted her with our beloved kitty’s care.

Schedule
I work from home so my schedule is very flexible to fit your/your pet's needs. I am available most days from the morning to the evening.

- Let me know if your dog has any special and/or behavioral needs during the time I spend with them. Such as areas to avoid while walking or things that make them nervous etc. I would also love to know what their favorite activities are so I can provide as much fun/joy as possible. Finally, if they have any dietary restrictions in case I have a few treats on me.
