As a lifelong Alaskan, I feel like we have a special culture around interacting with animals here (especially dogs!) and I feel very comfortable assessing body language of nervous animals that may take a moment to warm up before interacting. :) Prior to Rover, I worked for several years providing house sitting and petsitting for both cats and dogs. Looking forward to meeting you and your pets!

My goal is to help your pet feel comfortable and like there is very minimal disruption to their routines. I would plan to meet with you, get a feeling for their routines and ask questions like: When do they like to go outside/for a walk, what their favorite toys are, if they have special eating habits or medications, do they have a favorite place to sit and relax with their humans etc. My goal is help ease that separation for both the pet and their owner. :)

Jennifer is absolutely the best. My dogs were so well taken care of and loved while I was out of town. She was thorough to make sure they had the best experience they possibly could- I would recommend 10 times over!!
Jennifer is amazing!! We came home to clean litter, full water, and some very very happy kitties. Jennifer helped ease my mind while away for a week by sending photos and updates of our girls. She didn’t shy away from asking questions and was extremely accommodating to our asks. She will absolutely be our first choice the next time we travel.
Jennifer is great with pets, particularly with Cats. In Portland, she took care of my brother's one-eyed pit, Squire, while he was at work, walking him and making sure Squire was cared for. She also looks after a family friends cats occasionally and they love her, she is like a cat whisperer or something. Jennifer is attentive and very easy to work with. 10/10
My cat loves when she comes to visit! My cat can be a little skittish and Jennifer is patient and he’s warmed to her so much. He sometimes tends to eat a little too quickly and Jennifer pays close attention so that he doesn’t eat himself sick. I’ve really appreciated her care.

I'm currently working part-time in a remote work location, so my schedule is very flexible! I'm typically most available in the mornings and afternoons/early evening during the week and can be more flexible on the weekends.

- Let me know how your pet's preferences! Do they take some time to warm up, or are they very friendly? Do they have any special preferences, like a special blanket or spot on the couch? I want to make them feel as comfortable as possible while their people are gone!
