Safety, trust & environment
As a service dog raiser, I have training in safe dog walking procedures, loose leash walking, kenneling, dog body language, you name it! Having my own dog plus foster pups has also given me lots of experience managing feedings with different doggy attitudes; slow feeding techniques, keeping food motivated dogs away while a slower pup eats, etc. I’m also a pro at giving stubborn dogs medication. My Great Pyrenees is a pill magician and not food motivated at all but I manage to get him taken care of :)
Information Jennifer K. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if there are any cues you’re working on with your pup; I’ll be sure to reinforce and continue to shape! I’ve used flat collars, martingale, and perfect pace leaders for loose leash walking and I always have my treat pouch to keep the encouragement flowing. I always avoid on-leash interactions with other dogs and will typically cross the street if another dog is coming. I trust your dog but not the other persons!
A typical day
I know lots of fun puppy enrichment activities and I’m always up for a good walk. My neighborhood is full of beautiful walking paths and hiking trails. I’ve even taken a pup to the stables nearby to check out the horses! Does your dog have a favorite toy? Let me know; we can play fetch and tug.

Service Dog Puppy Raiser
Pet care experience
I’ve been a dog owner since childhood and the first thing I did once I got my own place was get a dog! I’m currently a puppy raiser for Freedom Service Dogs, so in addition to my pooch (a tri-pawd Great Pyrenees) I get to raise and train future service dogs. I’m comfortable with large dogs, little pups, doggos with special needs, and anything in between!
Reviews

We had a fantastic experience with Jennifer! She looked after our dog for 8 days, taking care of both feeding and walks. What we appreciated most was how attentive she was to our dog’s needs—on a few nights when our dog just wasn't feeling a walk, Jennifer listened and adapted without any hesitation. It’s such a relief to find a sitter who truly pays attention to animal behavior and comfort. Highly recommend!"
Jennifer was great! My dog Kona seemed to really like her. She sent us lots of pictures. Which we really enjoyed and appreciated!

Jen was great! She kept me updated daily on how my cat was doing as well as sent pictures. I will definitely be booking with her again and would highly recommend!

Great experience, my shy cat warmed right up to Jennifer! Felt like my cats were well taken care of
