Friends say I always have a smile on my face and I feel the same way about dogs! They exude such unadulterated joy, I feel like pure happiness is directly connected to being around animals and nature. Don’t get me wrong, I like other humans too, but there is something so special about communing with our furry friends––it’s hard putting into words. I try to remain positive in any situation, and always aim to see all sides of a story before jumping to judgment or conclusions. I started caring for two cats when I was very young, and when my family got our first dog, it literally changed my life. I think I was able to comprehend the notion of motherhood and what it felt like to feel completely connected to another living creature. Animals are dependent on us for sustenance but also for affection and companionship, and in turn they’ve taught me how to be a better person. I’ve always been loving and considerate, but caring for animals has taught me patience and responsibility. Yes, cats and dogs are fluffy and cute, but not everyone truly understands how much work it takes––like picking up after them, adjusting your life schedule to make sure you feed, walk, and play with them––to really give them your full and undivided attention and care all from a place of love. I’ve worked for a professional dog walking and pet sitting service called Wagging Tails and Paws for many years and am looking to expand my horizons here. I’ve also volunteered at my local shelter so I’m comfortable dealing with a range of scenarios, whether it’s behavioral or medical. I live and work from home, so your beloved pup will never be neglected and my availability is super flexible. I’ve worked with all sorts of breeds, sizes, and temperaments––young and old. I have absolutely no preference and am looking forward to spending as much quality time with your beloved pup as possible! One of the greatest rewards is getting to know each dog’s personality, which is just as unique and interesting as humans. Of course your pup will always love you the most, but it’s always so rewarding when a dog you’ve cared for remembers you the next time they come around. Other than animals, I enjoy spending time with my friends, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. There are many dog parks nearby and I relish getting lots of fresh air, so your pup and I will be taking leisurely walks and other adventures. I also love spending time at home, snuggling up with a good book and a furry friend. I feel so blessed to be doing something I’m so passionate about. I realize there are many people who feel trapped by their careers or life situations––but life is too short to not pursue something that brings you endless smiles. Lucky for me, I love dogs and dogs love me right back. I can’t wait to meet you and your awesome furry friend.
