Pet care is my top priority. I'm committed to balancing each pet's unique needs, whether in my clients' homes or my own. From feedings and medication schedules to evening playtime, I'll provide consistent, quality care tailored to every pet. That said, I work two days a week starting at either 3:00 or 4:00 PM until I’m finished for the day. I am still available for both boarding and house sitting. For boarding, your dog will stay at home with my mother while I’m working, so they will not be left unattended. For house sitting, your dog will need to be comfortable being alone for up to four hours.

Information Jennifer J. would like to know about your pet
As a compassionate and experienced pet care professional, understanding each pet’s unique needs and personality is crucial to providing exceptional care. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for both you and your pet, I prefer to have a meet-and-greet before confirming any services. This allows us to discuss your pet’s needs and for me to get to know them in a calm, relaxed environment. Exceptions can be made for last-minute appointments. House-sitting meet-and-greets will be done at the owner’s home. As for boarding meet-and-greets, I like to meet the owners and their dog(s) at a neutral public place, such as a nearby park or store. Meeting at the owner’s home is fine too. I do this so I can get a feel for the dog’s energy level and behavior and ensure it will be a good fit for my home environment, since I live with my grandma. Please note, I do not host meet-and-greets in my home, as my grandma isn’t comfortable having human strangers in the house. Strange dogs are fine though 😆. For owners who want to see where their dog will be, I am happy to share photos of my home. If we do agree to a meet-and-greet, I’d love to learn about your pet’s individual needs, including their daily routine, feeding schedule, and favorite activities. I’ll also need information about any medical conditions, allergies, or medications, as well as their compatibility with other animals and people. Please also share any existing training and behavioral habits, along with specific sensitivities or areas of discomfort. This helps me provide personalized, attentive care tailored to your pet’s unique needs. Additionally, please provide proof that your pet is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations. A photo, digital record, or printed copy is perfectly acceptable. This helps ensure the safety and well-being of all pets and people under my care. Last-Minute Bookings: I happily accept last-minute bookings whenever my schedule allows. Bookings requested within 3 days of the start date may be subject to a small convenience fee to help cover the extra coordination involved. To ensure the best care and safety for your animals, I’d appreciate having these items prepared. Comfort Items: • Bed • Blanket • Favorite stuffed animal or comfort toy Feeding: • Food • Treats • Food bowls Medications Play and Stimulation: • Toys • Puzzles Walking and Safety: • Leash • Collars • ID tags • Harness (if used) Grooming and Hygiene: • Grooming tools: Brush(s), nail clippers, toothpaste and brush, etc. • Poop bags I look forward to meeting you and your pet soon! 🐶🥰
A typical day
Boarding and Daycare: Your furry baby(s) will stay with me in my home, receiving plenty of love, care, and attention. I'll provide comfortable accommodations, regular feeding and potty breaks, administer medication if needed, and give lots of playtime, exercise, and snuggles. For Boarding and Daycare, please note: I live with my grandmother so we are a calm household. We're best suited for up to two, medium to low-energy dogs. Dogs who like to play are totally fine, but we can't accommodate dogs that need constant high-energy activity. I also kindly request no blind dogs, not because I have anything against them, but because, just like humans, they know their home layout best. To ask them to navigate a new home where they don’t know the layout isn't fair – they're safer and more comfortable at home. House Sitting: As a house sitter, I'll stay at your residence 24/7 to care for your pet, providing companionship and ensuring their needs are met. Regular feeding and potty breaks, administer medication if needed, and give lots of playtime, exercise, and snuggles. House sitting note: I will not house sit for people who smoke inside the home, or have cats. Dog Walking: On a 30-minute walk I’ll provide exercise and mental stimulation, including a mix of walking and playtime. There is also an option for a one hour walk. All of these come with a guarantee that I will spoil them rotten. 😉

Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Jennifer. I'm 32 years old from Tremont, Illinois. Ask anyone who knows me, and they'll tell you that I'm a compassionate, dedicated, and hardworking individual with a broad range of skills in animal care. My lifelong passion for animals started young. I began caring for and training them in grade school. I was a volunteer at TAPS for five years, where I gained hands-on experience with dogs of all ages, from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs. I also assisted under a licensed veterinary technician for two years, where I gained experience administering oral, topical, as well as ear and eye medications, so I'm comfortable caring for pets with specific health needs. Whether it's handling, training, or providing medical support, I'm confident in my ability to provide top-notch care for animals, where I will always aim to make every pet feel safe and loved while their pawrents 🐾 are away. I appreciate you taking the time to review my profile, and for considering me to care for your fur babies. 🐶 I look forward to hearing from you soon! ☺️

Jennifer was amazing with both of my dogs! I will most definitely be using her again!
Jennifer has been a true blessing to my baby Diesel and to me. I unfortunately had a sitter cancel on me at the last min before my 4 day trip for my birthday, but Jennifer accepted my request to watch my baby. I immediately felt comfortable leaving my baby Diesel after speaking to her on the phone. She put my mind at ease and was a God sent. Once we met in person she made me feel comfortable and asked if she could send updates, and if course she sent updates but also pics of Diesel. My baby was content and happy in her care. I definitely recommend Jennifer if you need a sitter and she will be my sitter from now on. Thanks again Jennifer from Diesel and myself.

Jennifer was wonderful with Murphy. She sent us lots of updates and photos. She was transparent and wonderful to deal with.
Jennifer stayed at our house for 8 days while we were on vacation. She took great care of our 5-year-old German Sheperd and treated him like family. She was very good about sending pictures and giving updates. I will certainly try to hire her again when we plan our next vacation.
