I love all the puppers!
I love all animals, but dogs most of all. I grew up around larger breeds - my parents had pit bulls, boxers, and German shepherds. In my adult life, I've had mostly shar-pei and beagles. I currently have four rescued beagle mixes, as well as three cats. My pets are like my children, and I believe everyone's babies deserve to be treated as well as I treat mine! My purpose in life is helping as many dogs as I can to live their best life. That help comes in different forms - I network, foster, and transport with local rescues, and pet sit for a few friends. I'm also a former trainer with a large pet store. The best part of my workday was getting to see all the dogs that come in the store each day. Whether I encountered them as students or casual customers, I always did my best to make sure the dogs always left with the best products and advice for their health and happiness. I also volunteered and was hired to work at Stanly County Animal Protective Services, and was responsible for the day to day care of all the animals in the shelter - including feeding, walking, socializing, and providing any medications needed. Helping a dog to be more comfortable in the sometimes stressful shelter environment was always my main goal. Unfortunately, I had to leave the job due to health reasons. I'm no longer able to work full time, so sitting and walking with Rover seems like the perfect part time job for me! If I can cause a tail to wag, I consider it a good day. 🐾

Safety, trust & environment
Your rules are my rules! I will care for your pets in whatever way you tell me they're used to. They will eat, walk, etc on the schedule you have them on. If you don't have a fenced yard, I'll never take them outside without a leash, and only walk on your approved routes. If you have any off limits areas in your house, I will ensure they don't have access to them. Any medications will be administered promptly on their existing schedule. I want your dog to feel like you're there, even when you're not!

Jennifer was wonderful! On the day of our meet and greet, she immediately started to gain trust and build a relationship with our cat. She did exactly what was asked to make sure he would be cared for during our time away and made sure to send a daily picture. While we were away, we had a semi- emergency affecting our home, and she was helpful in getting that taken care of, though that wasn't in the scope of her requirements. I'd definitely use Jennifer again, and I'm sure my kitty wouldn't mind either! Thank you so much Jennifer for allowing our kitty to stay in the comfort of his home while we were away.

I have known Jennifer for over five years. During this time she has helped me train my dogs and she has helped me with pet caregiving. She is generous, caring, professional, and genuinely loves pets. My two dogs are my children and they are my most valuable possessions. There are few people I trust with them, but I do implicitly trust Jennifer. She has earned my trust because she does more than just the basic caregiving. She gets to know them; she plays with them; she gives them belly rubs; she walks them; she checks their food and water. My dogs adore her and are always excited to see her. I know from their reaction to Jennifer that they trust her as much as I do. I will never use another pet caregiver! Jennifer is the best!
Jennifer and I met through our love of beagles. She was a trainer at Petsmart at the time so I signed our new puppy up for classes. Jennifer was a fantastic teacher and had a good relationship with all her furry clients. As a loving and caring pet owner herself her passion can clearly be seen when interacting with others and their pets. Jennifer is hands down the only one I would ever trust to care for my pets if I couldn't myself.

Schedule
I'm currently hoping to find work a few days a week, walking dogs or keeping them company in the afternoons primarily. Weekdays are when I'm most available, but I would be happy to discuss occasional nights or weekends if that's what you need! If you need to go out of town and can't take your furry friends with you, I'm also able to do multiple check-ins per day, or even stay in your home with your pets if you wish.
