I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions.

Jennifer was the best! We had a last-minute cancellation and she was a lifesaver for us: she even came by the same day to meet our pup in advance. She took really great care of our girl and was very communicative. Definitely recommend!
Jennifer was absolutely fantastic! Great communication throughout, sent pictures and a little summary every day. Definitely the most comfortable I’ve ever felt leaving our dog with someone for a longer period of time.
Jennifer took great care of our very old and frail dog Layla. Jennifer was very attuned and responsive to Layla’s needs and sent updates and photos that were reassuring. We knew Layla was in kind and capable hands.
We had such a good experience with Jen. Pepper loved staying with her and was happy when we came to get her. Lovely home setting with fenced back yard. Pepper is usually stressed after being away from home but she was calm & happy. Can't recommend highly enough. I'd give 10 stars if I could.
Jen was excellent! We boarded our dog with her for two nights and had a great experience. Communication was easy, the house felt safe and secure, and care instructions were followed. We will definitely use her again!
Jen is an amazing sitter. She was super easy to communicate with. Her dogs are adorable and friendly. She gave me the exact right amount of updates during Stokli’s stay and was flexible with drop-off and pick-up. I will book her again if I get the chance!

Schedule
I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend.

Safety, trust & environment
Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.
Pets
A typical day
Besides walks there is certainly a surplus of toys my dogs have that they are happy to share, whether at my house or yours. Balls, frisbees, kongs, stuffies…you name it. We can also do some nose work games if your dog is into it.
