Availability
I am currently a doctoral student at UB, who has open availability during academic recess and is mostly available during the academic year. I will be teaching in the Fall and thus will officially update my availability once I have a fully set schedule for August 24th onward. Tentatively accepting bookings for late August and later dates. I’ve blocked off days of the week when I have classes and likely teaching but can be flexible depending on requests and until I know my final schedule for the semester.

Safety, trust & environment
I often stay with dogs and visit cats, but can stay overnight in order to maintain their feeding and exercise routines. I let dogs out into the yard and spend time playing with them outside or go on morning and evening walks. With current flexibility, I can go on lunchtime walks. I always update clients about their pets daily unless requested otherwise.
Information Jennifer G. would like to know about your pet
It's important for me to meet the animals before working with them if possible. If not possible, I'd like to know how they greet strangers/new sitters, what are behaviors of concern, how they are rewarded, and have notes about their routines and needs to reference for continuation of their daily care.
A typical day
I will wake up with the animals and be sure they are fed breakfast and have adequate water, as well as check litter boxes and/or let dogs out into the yard. I tell all animals good morning and spend time waking up alongside them before going on a walk or beginning a play session with toys or running around. I often read texts or watch video content when experiencing downtime with animals, while observing changes in their behaviors indicating hunger or a need for attention. I always maintain a good night routine and tell all animals good nigiht at the end of the night. I can crate animals as needed or if staying overnight, sleep in a bed with animals.

Pet care experience
I have lived with cats my entire life and have an abundance of experience caring for them, meeting their needs and wants. Growing up, I also lived with fostered pugs from a local pet rescue and have experience caring for them. While living in Colorado, I gained further experience cat sitting, while caring for dogs, geckos, pet birds, and chickens in a suburban setting. I have some experience walking dogs in urban settings. I am able to visit or stay with your dog to provide food, water medicine, play, and companionship. I also clean yards and immediately pickup pet waste when outside and clean in-house messes to prevent stains. I am communicative about pets and send daily updates and photos unless requested otherwise.
