Winston and I start our day at approximately 6:00 am with a quick walk and breakfast before I head to work. We have either a play session or a training session mid-day and wrap up the evening with another walk and training before dinner. While I go to work every day, my schedule is flexible and allows me to step out whenever needed. I have ample time to add in a few walks/check-ins on your furry friends! :)

Winston LOVES getting into things he should not, so I spend a lot of my time making sure that my house/backyard are picked up to avoid any issues. I would do the same for your house. He also has his own area equipped with a comfortable bed, his favorite blanket, and multiple toys of all varieties (squeaky toys, tug toys, comfort, etc.). I would make sure that your dog(s) feel(s) at home in my presence by entering slowly, letting them adjust to me (and undoubtedly smell Winston), and then watching their cues to determine my next steps. My flexible schedule allows me to exercise them both early in the morning, mid-day, and later at night!

I would love to hear about your pet's individualized needs (esp. triggers) and discuss how I can better address them while you are out of town. I will spoil them like my own dog! :)
A typical day
Winston is staying with my family while I am completing fourth-year clinical rotations away from home, which leaves me with ample time to shower your fur babies with unconditional love! I look forward to spending time with them while you are away and will treat them like one of my own. I know how important keeping routine is (thanks to having a working breed) and am more than happy to adjust my schedule to accommodate what your animals are already used to. I am used to walking my dog in the morning, spending some quiet time meditating or reading, and letting them out before heading to work. I devote a lot of my time outside of work to reading and studying for the next day, which gives me ample time to hang out around the house with your animals. I make it a point to get at least 10k steps a day and would love to bring your animal along with me, weather permitting. I have no problem walking them in the evenings/at night when the sun goes down and the temperature drops. Their comfort is my top priority!

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I am a fourth-year medical student rotating in your city and would love to spend some time with your fur baby (& make some spending money)!! 😉 I grew up with both cats and dogs in my house & quickly learned the intricacies of caring for animals. I make it a point to assess their body language and anticipate their needs. I got my dog, Winston, when he was 8 weeks old. He is the first animal I have ever had on my own, and we have grown so much together. We took three behavioral training classes, and I am proud to say that I trained him myself! I am experienced with both puppies/kittens and senior dogs/cats. I feel comfortable administering medication, helping them use the restroom, bottle feeding...you name it! I have a very flexible schedule on my rotation (typically 8- 1 p.m.) and would be more than happy to devote some time for cuddles, exercise, and/or training with your animal while you are away/busy!
