I'm glad to recommend Jen Clarkson as a dog sitter. I've known Jen personally for 25 years and have seen firsthand how she treats dogs. She has been a dog owner herself, and it's clear from watching her with her own dog that she's patient, gentle, and genuinely enjoys their company. She's the kind of person who notices what a dog needs, whether that's exercise, structure, or just a bit of extra affection, and responds to that with kindness and consistency. I don't have direct experience with Jen sitting my own dogs, but based on the care and responsibility she shows as a dog owner, I have no doubt she'd bring that same attentiveness to caring for someone else's pet. She's reliable, trustworthy, and someone I'd feel completely comfortable leaving a dog with. I recommend her without hesitation.

Schedule
We are a busy family and have lots of experience with dogs. I’ve had a pet dog my whole life and as a family we had a beautiful golden, who sadly passed away a few years ago. We don’t have time for our own pet right now (with the kids busy schedule), however I am a teacher and available in the summer for dog walks and drop-in visits.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and no other pets currently living with us. Also, two responsible pet-loving kids and husband. We can ensure the pets needs are met and kept safe/happy while in our care.
A typical day
We live within walking distance to Island Lake and love to go for walks there. I also have a Quarry Pass in Caledon and can take dogs to the park there for swims as well if requested.
