I’m self-employed and have a flexible schedule to come to your home to play with/feed/let out your dog(s). I’m also happy to take them on a jaunt around the neighborhood to stretch their legs and get some fresh salty air. Weekdays during the middle of the day from 11-2 and after 5 pm work best. Weekends are very flexible.

If necessary, I can watch dogs in my home on weekends for shorter stretches. My yard isn’t fenced, but I’m within walking distance to the Back Cove Recreational Trail and Payson Park. I’m also a short drive to the Ocean Avenue Dog Park.

A typical day
Happy to romp in the yard or take your dog to the dog park on Ocean Avenue. If they love water, we’ll find a local lake or beach that suits their abilities.

Raised on a horse farm in Illinois, I’ve been taking care of a menagerie of animals since my childhood. My love of dogs (and cats) runs deep and my versatility with all breeds and ages is exceptional. In my adult life, I’ve raised 5 puppies into curious, athletic and empathetic creatures. I’ve been a volunteer at the Franklin County Humane Society where I was a regular dog walker and kitty socializer. I live with my husband the poet, Jinx the cat, and Spy the English Labrador in Portland’s Back Cove. I’m happy to drop in and feed, administer meds, groom, play, etc. with your dog or cat. I have experience with puppies and seniors, big and small, couch potatoes or ball/stick enthusiasts. I have a Jeep and love to go on mini adventures in the neighborhood. My Lab can also join in the fun if your dog needs socializing.
