Pets boarding at my house will have the guest bedroom to stay in when im not home or to be by themselves if that's what they would prefer. They will have a large fully fenced in yard to explore and play with my personal dogs (or again not if that's what they would prefer). My dogs are crate trained so they can be separated if needed.

A typical day
Play with them out in the yard, puzzle games (depending on dietary restrictions), walks, play time inside. If they get along with other dogs they will have play time with my dogs

I've had pets from large dogs to as small as hamsters my entire life. Im currently a vet tech so my whole life revolves around pets and giving medications is not an issue for me
