Hi! I'm Jen! I am an elementary school teacher. I recently had to say goodbye to my first baby, Harper who was an 11 year old white retriever mix. It was unexpected and sudden, which means we are still grieving but would love to have some dog energy in our household. I have two kids; a 2yr old and a 4yr old so your pet must be good with kids, calm on a leash, and doesn’t chew up toys. I love animals and always make sure they are getting the needed walks and attention they deserve. I promise you can trust me to spoil your pet and follow your expectations! I have used Rover for my own dog rather than boarding her at a pet hotel because she gets too nervous when kept in a crate. Plus, those places don’t give enough one-on-one attention that every dog deserves. I am super picky when it comes to someone watching my dog and I know how nerve racking it can be when trusting someone new with your own pet. Feel free to ask me any questions and I look forward to caring for your furry family member! I can walk your pet around the neighborhood and to nearby parks and have a spacious backyard for them to roam. Most dogs are welcomed on furniture and/or in our bed. Jennifer was absolutely wonderful with my baby. He can be nervous in a new place and definitely needed some time to warm up. He was even a little nippy with her kids at first, and she was incredibly patient and understanding about it. She gave him time to get comfortable and before long he was cuddling with her, hanging out with the family, and making himself completely at home. She sent me so many pictures and updates while I was gone, which I loved. I could actually see how much more comfortable he was getting as the days went on. She took him on walks, gave him lots of attention, and really seemed to care about him rather than just having another dog staying at her house. I also didn’t leave quite enough food for the whole trip and she went out and got more for him, which I really appreciated. I was out of the country for two weeks and I’m pretty particular about who I trust with my baby. I never felt like I needed to worry about him with Jennifer. She really went above and beyond and I came home to a happy, well cared for dog. I would 100% use her again.
Jennifer and her family did a wonderful job caring for our Annie. Lots of pictures, updates and lots of extra love from her two junior assistants!!

Jennifer was really wonderful with our Bella and she kept on sending me pictures of how happy Bella was. She even gave her a Christmas gift ? Bella is a Golden retriever and Jennifer and her husband played with her throwing balls and taking her for walks. Even her baby played with Bella. She even coordinated with Bella’s next dog sitter while we were away. She is truly amazing. We will definitely bring Bella back on our next getaway! Thank you for everything! Warmest hugs, Katya

Jennifer’s house is a Happy Place for our nervous rescue dog. Her dog Harper is so sweet! We have left our dog with them for 3 out of town trips, one that was 2 weeks. Jennifer provides great communication and is very caring.

Schedule
I work during the week from 7:45-8 3:30. My husband has a retail schedule so he is usually off Tuesdays and goes into work in the mornings some days and as late as 1pm others. One of us will prioritize the walks.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard with a sunroom which is always open for the dogs to go in and out of. If I need to run an errand, I will leave them in the back yard but they will always have access to the indoor sunroom if they want to come inside. I have extra dog beds for sleepovers and do allow them to get on the couch...if we all fit:) Dogs who chew up items left out may not work out due to kids with toys.
A typical day
I have several parks and pathways around the neighborhood that are great for walks. I have a decent size backyard that your pet will have access to and where we can play fetch h or hag put while the kids play.
