Availability
My work is hybrid, which gives me more flexibility and availability to provide attentive, consistent care for your pets. I structure my days to allow for reliable scheduling, unrushed visits, and responsiveness to individual routines and needs. I structure my availability to provide consistent care while still maintaining a balanced daily schedule. During the day, I will step out for work or personal commitments, returning to provide attentive care, companionship, and any scheduled services. I am unavailable for 24/7 live-in house-sitting, and your pup should be comfortable on their own for at least 6 hours during the day. My basic rates include morning & evening care, plus one walk per day -- any additional care can be arranged separately.

I prioritize safety, trust, and respect for each pet's home environment by closely following established routines and care instructions. In a client's home, I care for pets in a way that minimizes stress and disruption - maintaining familiar schedules, feeding routines, and preferred spaces. I take time to observe each pet's behavior and comfort level, responding thoughtfully and individually. I move calmly through the home, ensure doors and gates are secure, monitor food, water, and litter or waste areas carefully, and remain attentive to any changes in behavior or health. My background in in-home caregiving has made me highly attuned to safety, consistency, and environmental awareness. I treat each home with respect, maintain cleanliness, and communicate clearly with owners if anything out of the ordinary arises. I appreciate knowing about a pet's routine, temperament, and any special needs ahead of time so I can provide the best care possible. Please let me know about feeding schedules, medications, mobility or health considerations, and any behavioral quirks or anxieties. I'm happy to care for puppies and dogs who are still learning, and I'm patient with normal puppy behaviors! For safety reasons, I'm best suited for dogs who are manageable relative to their size and strength. For dog walking, it's especially helpful to know how they do on leash, around other dogs, and in public environments. Open communication helps ensure a good fit for everyone - you, your pet, and me - and allows me to provide calm, attentive care with confidence!

A typical day with the pets I care for is centered around their comfort, routine, and enrichment. I start by checking in on how they're feeling and making sure their basic needs are met - meals, fresh water, potty breaks, and any specific care instructions. Activities vary based on each pet's personality and energy level. For dogs, this may include a relaxed neighborhood walk where they can sniff and explore, gentle play like fetch or tug, or simply spending time together providing companionship and affection. For cats, I focus on interactive play, quiet companionship, and maintaining their familiar routines. I'm attentive and present, adjusting activities to the pet rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach. Tell me your pet's favorite toy or activity, and I will gladly incorporate it! Whether that means playful engagement or calm company, my goal is for pets to feel safe, settled, and well cared for while their people are away.

As a lifelong pet owner and animal lover, devoted plant mama, and longtime in-home caregiver, I understand that leaving your pets and home requires real trust. Pets often feel unsettled when their people are away, so I care for your beloved animals and plants the way I would want mine cared for during a stressful time: gently, thoughtfully, and attentively - observing routines closely and responding to individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I have cared for cats and dogs from puppyhood and kittenhood through their senior years. I've raised my own cats from kittens (they're now seniors!), I've lived with and cared for many dogs & cats throughout my life, and supported pets with a wide range of temperaments, routines, and care needs. I'm especially comfortable with shy, timid, or sensitive pets. I take a gentle, choice-based approach - getting on their level, moving at their pace, and allowing trust to build naturally. I've found that giving animals space to engage on their own terms helps them feel safe and settled more quickly. In addition to personal pet care, I bring 10+ years of professional in-home caregiving experience working with seniors and vulnerable adults. This background strongly shapes how I approach pet care: with patience, consistency, attention to detail, and deep respect for routine. I'm comfortable supporting senior pets, handling basic care needs, following detailed instructions, and maintaining a calm, steady, & caring presence. I also have extensive experience caring for household plants and gardens. I understand their care is part of maintaining a healthy, lived-in home - Especially if you have multiple plants, specific watering schedules, and/or sensitive species! If you'd like plant care included during your booking, please add an additional pet to the reservation to account for the extra time and responsibility - I'm happy to discuss details in advance. My approach is warm, reliable, observant, and grounded. I aim to care for pets, plants, and homes with the same responsibility and respect I would want for my own - so you can rest easy, knowing that your home and the precious little beings in it are in good hands.

Jenn made everything feel effortless when I went out of town. And I felt like I could enjoy a guilt free trip with no worries knowing my pets were having a great time with her. She sent pictures everyday, and gave them lots of snuggles and attention. Will definitely be booking with her again!
