Experience with dogs of all kinds!
I have experience walking reactive dogs for the past 10 years. While I am not a professional trainer, I do have experience implementing training strategies to help dogs who are reactive and/or anxious during walks. I have provided care for families with multiple animals at a time including dogs, cats, bunnies and rodents. I regularly practice loose leash walking, positive reinforcement, and focus work during walks. I have experience in multiple settings including apartment, suburban and the city. I enjoy working with dogs on mentally stimulating games such as hide and seek, recall, puzzles, snuffle mats, and walking in the neighborhood. I am willing to learn cue words and training that you have already implemented with your animal for consistency. I have a love for dogs and long walks, the perfect combination for a sniffer that likes to go on a leisurely stroll, a high energy pup and everything in between!

I have my own dog who is dog reactive and anxious. He is my world and I have put in many hours of training and love to ensure that he is happy and healthy! He loves to learn new tricks with one of the most recent including cleaning up his toys on his own!

Working with Jennifer has been the best pet care experience we've ever had. Our pup, June, is very timid and can easily turn off humans with some of her wacky behavior. She's a rescue and is picky about who she warms up to. From the first meet and greet, Jenn made June feel comfortable and allowed her all the space she needed. When her second visit went well (June was giving her kisses already!), we knew we'd found the perfect sitter for our sassy little June. While we were away for a long weekend, Jenn sent us plenty of photos as well as updates on June's eating habits and details about how her walks went. We never once worried whether June was getting quality care and Jenn even offered to help water our plants. We highly recommend her services and grew to really like her as a person, too. If you're looking for a pet sitter who is warm, patient, caring, communicative, trustworthy, and provides an environment of fun - Jennifer is it. She's the BEST. We're so lucky to have met her and June agrees!
Jennifer went above and beyond with our pets, we have multiple dogs with anxiety and behavioral issues and she was amazing with them. She spent the entire time we were away with them and they were all comfortable and worn out when we got home. We made changes on her and she was more than accommodating. Highly recommend Jennifer!
Jenn is a wonderful dog owner and animal lover. She has loved animals since she was a little girl and is committed to doing all she can to care for them whether they are her own or not. On numerous occasions, she has gone out of her way to help animals who were lost and/or hurt. Beyond caring for animals, Jenn is also very patient with animals who have specific needs and she is gifted in the ability to do basic training.
