Growing up on a small farm was my first introduction to pet caring. In addition to the typical farm animals (chickens, sheep, horses, and geese), we also bred Samoyeds, adopted challenging breeds from shelters, and had a host of cats. Raising, caring for, and training these animals instilled a love of nurturing everything from the smallest of pets to the largest of farm animals. I was a part of my dogs' lives from birth through their senior lives, meaning I grew comfortable with all age stages and the challenges that came along with each (potty training, bite inhibition, administering medicine, massage, etc). Additionally, I have hand-reared kittens and raised them through their senior ages. In college, I volunteered as a dog socializer at the Tompkins County SPCA in Ithaca, NY. In my free time, I walked and played with dogs of all sizes and assisted the SPCA workers with cleaning, grooming, and feeding. After undergrad, I continued to be a cat owner while dog walking in sunny San Diego. I have now settled in Ohio and I would love to continue meeting other pets and caring for them in the way I have my entire life. I have a three-year-old Great Dane, Moose, who has come into his own as a well-trained, well socialized big boy. He loves all other species and sizes of animals and particularly enjoys romps in the park with other doggos. He is definitely the quintessential gentle giant. I also have two lovely Manx kitten brothers who add a lot of extra fun to the home! I know the challenges of leaving your pup or kitty when you head out the door for work or take a vacation. I love to be the people others turn to when they need someone to meet their pet's needs and give them the same attention and affection as their owners. I currently work first shift and am available early morning and evenings on weekdays with some weekend availability.
