I currently work from home so I'm home most of the time. At times I need to leave the house for hours for meetings, but generally have a flexible schedule.

I like to continue familiar care for dogs so if they usually crate, we can crate here if you bring a crate. If you are working on certain training things, we will try to help reinforce that. If you provide detailed directions for care, we will try to follow as closely as possible to help you and your dog while your away. If you dog need medications, I will administer with your directions. I understand the difficulty of finding care for special needs dogs and happy to help give you a break. One caveat...I would like couch cuddles!

I would prefer an owner to send detailed directions for feeding times, amounts, and habits. a short list of commend words can help us reinforce good behaviors. Plus, please send with a blanket or t-shirt smell that they are familiar with so they feel more comfortable. We currently don't have a crate, but happy if you'd bring one if they are familiar with crating. I'd like to know if they chew when left alone and what the plan is when we do need to leave your dog alone. Also want to know if they are reliably potty trained or if we need to be vigilant. Whatever we can do to help your dog and you feel comfortable to vacation. We provide pets with lots of love and dependable care.
A typical day
I like to take dogs for a walk or throw a ball in our large backyard. I try to get them a little exercise in the morning so they can relax while I work or leave for a meeting. Then I will walk or ball play again later in the day. A tired dog is a good dog! I hope for couch dog snuggles in the evening, but if you dog wants to watch TV with us from a comfy dog bed on the floor, they can choose.

Hi! I raised two rescue dogs for 16 years and miss having dogs around. I have experience with a high energy ball dog and anxiety riddled cuddler so I'm ready to play and care for your fur friend - whatever they need to feel at home. Both of my dogs needed special care and medications throughout their life; therefore, I'm prepared to do whatever your dog needs to be comfortable and cared for. I will take daily walks, plus I have a large fenced yard. I'm excited to provide a safe and loving “home away from home” for your fur friend(s).

Jennifer was absolutely terrific! She cared for our mini-goldendoodle as we would have and beyond. We were sent updates and felt very at ease with leaving her for the first time. She even took our storm frightened dog into the basement for a cuddle and nap during a thunderstorm. Would definitely have Jennifer look after our dog again!
Jenny took wonderful care of Amelia while I was away on a girls’ trip to Montana. Amelia loved spending time in Jenny’s backyard, going on little car adventures, enjoying extra treats, and, of course, soaking up all the snuggles. One of the things I appreciate most is that Jenny only takes one dog at a time. It gives Amelia plenty of attention and makes me feel confident that she’s getting exceptional care. Honestly, Amelia gets so spoiled when she stays with Jenny that I never worry when I’m away. It’s clear she’s treated like part of the family, and I couldn’t ask for a better sitter.
The best!! Sends me tons of photos and updates, takes my dog on field trips, and really enjoys being around him
Jennifer was fantastic with our dog, making her feel at home to the point she even cuddled. This is high praise straight from our dog, who is not typically a fan of cuddling. Jennifer updated us with pictures throughout the week which was appreciated. She has a lovely fenced in backyard. We will definitely schedule with Jennifer in the future!
