Dog loving stay at home mom
Hi I’m Jenn, a dog loving stay at home mom with lots of extra time and extra love to give. I started sitting on Rover in March of 2024 and fell completely in love with it. I might not have any professional dog experience, but what I lack in experience I make up for in heart. I’ve been a dog lover/owner since I came out of the womb. Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. Since I was a kid I wanted to learn everything there is to know about dogs and how to care for them. I’m a huge nerd for dog behaviour and training. My biggest influence being Cesar Millan. And I also volunteered at the spca for a few years before I became a mom. I’ve always been the girl that hangs out with the dog at the party, who gets on the floor for dog snuggles and who shows every four legged friend as much love as my own.

I was so impressed! When my small havanese dog and I arrived, we were welcomed into a calm, cozy home with Jennifer and her 2 lovely little girls. My dog happily met her 2 small friendly dogs and was wagging her tail, and joyfully jumped on the couch (which Jennifer didn't mind, I am happy to say). My dog is usually shy and velcrowed to my hip. To see my dog calm and happy was a gift....Jennifer is now my Go To Person for all our overnights and vacation from this day on. Thank you Jennifer!

Jennifer was absolutely amazing with our little guy! She truly cares about your pet as if it was her own. She sends pictures and makes sure you receive daily updates! We ran into unexpected traffic delays on the way home and Jennifer was super flexible and able to keep Kovu a little longer than expected, which was a total lifesaver! This was our first time leaving our dog for several nights through Rover, so we were very nervous and worried at first. Jennifer was incredibly flexible and kind enough to meet with us before the booking so Taro could get familiar with her beforehand, which really helped put us at ease. During the stay, Jennifer kept us updated with photos and messages, which made us feel much more relaxed and reassured. Taro also got to spend time with Homer, and she looked so happy and comfortable the entire time. We’re very grateful for the care Jennifer gave Taro, and we would definitely book with her again whenever we need it!

Schedule
Being a stay at home mom I leave the house very little. Besides school drop offs and the occasional grocery shop, I’m usually always at home. I can almost always accommodate drop off and pick up times because my schedule is very flexible and your dog will rarely be left alone.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a large fenced in yard that your dog has regular access to. I typically walk the dogs once or twice a day depending on the dog’s energy level. We have a gate on our front porch that we use as an extra barrier for dogs that like to try and bolt out the door but we are very cautious of going in and out the front door when watching dogs that are not crate trained. I feed the dogs twice a day unless your dog has a different eating schedule so please let me know if they do.
Pets
A typical day
We have two young girls that love dogs and are very comfortable and gentle with animals. Your dog is guaranteed all the snuggles and attention they can ask for from both of my kids but they also recognize when a dog wants space and knows to give it to them. We have a low energy pug that is super friendly and is very well socialize. He has a way of making other dogs comfortable around him even when they are usually nervous with other dogs. We call him the puggy gentlemen. We also have a cat that happens to really like dogs but dogs don’t always love him so depending on your dog's behaviour he may be snuggly or he might just hide in the basement the whole time. Our whole family just loves dogs and genuinely enjoys keeping our pup guests as comfortable and happy as possible while their families are away.
