Loving Care When You’re Not There

I've been caring for dogs and cats since I was 8 years old. My love for animals started early and has only grown stronger over the years. As a lifelong pet owner, I've been fortunate to share my life with four adopted dogs—Deacon, Macie, Winston, and Millie. Today, my sweet 13-year-old dog, Macie, is still an active part of our family and joins us on walks, vacations, soccer practices, and dog-friendly adventures. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, routine, and set of needs. Whether your pet loves playtime, long walks, cuddles, or simply companionship, I'll provide loving, attentive care as if they were my own. I look forward to meeting your furry family member and helping them feel safe, happy, and loved while you're away. “A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.” – Josh Billings

Jennie is the best!! She has been dog sitting for my two elderly Labradoodles for several years. She often stayed at our house while we were out of town but also brought my pups to her house. She is a HUGE ANIMAL LOVER, she loves my pups as if they were her own. She is extremely sweet, respectful and responsible. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

Jennie is one of the most compassionate people I know and that compassion carries over to the pet world. Not only has she had pets most of her life, but has also done pet sitting for me. She's a mom of young children as well as an elementary school teacher. Definitely an "A" choice for your pet sitting needs.

Schedule

Pet care is naturally built into my daily routine. As a pet owner myself, I start and end each day with feeding, walks, exercise, and quality time with my dog, Macie. My family and I enjoy spending time outdoors, so walks, playtime, and pet-friendly activities are already a regular part of our week. I work as a teacher, which provides a predictable schedule, and my husband works from home, allowing for additional supervision and companionship throughout the day. Together, we are able to provide pets with plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, and affection. Whether your pet needs an active playmate, a walking buddy, or a calm and caring environment, we can easily incorporate their routine into ours and make them feel like part of the family.

Safety, trust & environment

Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medications, favorite activities, and any special instructions provided by their family. In my home, pets are treated like members of the family. They receive plenty of attention, playtime, walks, potty breaks, and affection throughout the day. My husband works from home, which allows for additional supervision and companionship. We maintain a clean, pet-friendly environment where pets can relax and feel at ease. When caring for pets in a client's home, I strive to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I provide fresh food and water, walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of love and attention while respecting the client's home and instructions. I also provide updates and photos so pet parents can feel confident that their furry family members are happy and well cared for while they are away.

Pets

A typical day

Every pet has their own personality, so I tailor activities to their age, energy level, and interests. For active pets, I enjoy walks, games of fetch, tug-of-war, outdoor playtime, and exploring pet-friendly parks. For pets who prefer a slower pace, I'm happy to spend time cuddling, brushing, playing with toys, or simply providing companionship and attention. I love incorporating pets into family activities whenever appropriate, including neighborhood walks and outdoor adventures. Mental enrichment is important too, so I enjoy using interactive toys, practicing basic commands, and engaging pets in games that keep them stimulated and happy. Most importantly, I make sure every pet receives plenty of love, attention, and positive interaction so they feel comfortable and cared for while their family is away.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know as much as possible about their personality, routine, and individual needs. Helpful information includes feeding schedules, exercise requirements, medications, allergies, favorite toys or activities, sleeping arrangements, and any special instructions. I also appreciate knowing how your pet interacts with people, children, and other animals, as well as any fears, anxieties, or behavioral quirks that may affect their comfort and safety. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can provide a positive, stress-free experience and ensure your pet feels secure, loved, and well cared for while you're away.
