It is very important for me to know as much as possible about each pet ahead of time so I can provide the safest and best care. This includes their daily routine, feeding schedule, any medications, medical conditions, allergies, behavioral traits, triggers, and how they react to new people, other animals, or being left alone. I also like to know their walking habits, leash behavior, energy level, and any commands they know or training cues that are important to follow. For cats, it helps to understand their litter habits, preferred hiding spots, and comfort level with interaction. The more information I have, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible. Clear communication ahead of time helps me provide consistent, reliable care and ensures a stress-free experience for both pets and owners.

A typical day caring for a pet depends on their individual routine, but I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to keep things consistent and comfortable for the animal. For drop-in visits, I start by greeting the pet calmly and checking on their overall well-being. I make sure they have fresh water, feed them if it’s part of their schedule, and handle any necessary medication. I also take care of potty breaks or litter box cleaning, depending on the pet. After the essentials are done, I spend quality time with them—this might include playtime, light exercise, belly rubs, brushing, or simply sitting with them so they feel safe and not alone. I always make sure they are settled and comfortable before I leave. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks tailored to the dog’s energy level and needs. I allow time for sniffing, exercise, and potty breaks while keeping them safe on leash the entire time. I always pay attention to their behavior and environment to ensure a positive, controlled experience. My goal in every visit is to provide not just care, but companionship, routine, and reassurance so pets feel relaxed and happy until their owner returns.

Jenn did an awesome job of taking care of my Leah. Leah was waiting at the door this morning for her arrival.? This can only mean that Leah has made a new friend. She tended to Leah’s needs even when she had personal happenings. I’m ever so grateful that Jen was Leah’s sitter and would highly recommend her as a sitter. I’ll be contacting her for sitting the next time we take a vacation. She’s very professional!
Jennie cared for my dogs and cat. She communicated with me throughout her stay, helping me to feel at ease. I have senior dogs who require medication but felt very comfortable given her background. Jennie walked and played with my dogs and gave my cat a lot of love. They showered her with kisses, wags, and purring. I also trusted Jennie being in my home. I have absolutely no complaints and will be using her service again. My only worry is her being booked up because she is first rate!
Coot had the best time at Jennie house! I love that Coot got to hang out with a pack of dogs that were all different shapes and sizes. In her daily life she doesn't see or interact with other dogs so I love when she gets the opportunity to make friends and be social. We will be using this sitter again I'm sure.
