My schedule is very flexible. I am new to the area, and I'm looking to establish both regularly scheduled and occasional clients. For petsitting clients, I can be available for 2 visits per day. For walks, I accept same day appointments, as well as recurring advanced bookings.

I aim to always provide the same level of loving care to pets as their humans would, if they were home. To this end, I like to get detailed instructions regarding feeding schedule, play preferences, and personality. It is my commitment to my clients to follow their instructions to the letter. When it comes to adventures outside of the home, safety is my #1 priority. I want your pups to have a great time, and to do that, they've got to be safe. For this reason, I do not take pups to off leash areas, when other dogs are present. There are just far too many risks to take into account with unfamiliar dogs around. Keeping dogs on-leash in group settings offers me a greater amount of control and ability to protect them, in the even that we are approached by another unfamiliar dog while out and about.

A typical day
All of my furry buddies have different ideas of what is fun. I like to get familiar with their favorite activities and toys, so I can give them the most enriching time possible. If they need to get moving and walk/run until they are tired out, we will do it! If they want to wrestle in their yard and play with toys, that's great too. I'm also happy to just take them for a sniff-and-see walk around the neighborhood. Pets of all different ages and stages need different levels of interaction for enrichment, and I aim to offer a variety of options to suit them all.

Pet care experience
My name is Jennie. I grew up on a farm in Eastern Washington. We had tons of animals, including many different types of dogs, big and small. We regularly took in rescue animals and pets with special needs. I now live in Santa Cruz, and I have a sixteen year old muggin (pug/min-pin) named Genghis. I'm new to the area, and I'm looking to work with pets of all types. I have regular and occasional availability. I offer dog walking, petsitting and house-sitting services. I am experienced with animals of all ages and stages, from puppies and kittens, to senior cats and pups. I am able to administer oral and topical medications, and I am happy to offer health monitoring for pets who are under veterinary care. While I do not offer full grooming services, basic bathing is in my wheel house. Whatever your pets need to be happy, healthy, and comfortable is what I want to provide! I know that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision. In an effort to offer greater security to my clients, I maintain my own pet/housesitter insurance policy, independent from any coverage provided by Rover.
