Having a stranger from an app into your home can be a little terrifying, but I will absolutely be respectful of your space. I’ll of course clean up any accidents that your pets have, and make sure muddy paws are wiped before going back inside. I also double check the doors each time I leave to make sure they’re locked. I also make sure to block the doors and enter quickly so pets don’t sneak out!

I’d love to know if your dog has had any history of reactivity, what training methods you use with them if any, and if they have any allergies! Also it’s helpful to know their quirks and what gets their attention.
A typical day
We will go on walks around the area! I’m happy to do a brisk walk or a slower walk, and practice training as we go (like sitting and waiting at traffic lights/intersections). I’m also happy to practice training, play with their favorite toys, and of course giving lots of belly rubs!

Excited to be back on Rover after a few years off! When it comes to dog walking and pet sitting in general, I follow the philosophy that I will treat your pets the way I’d want mine to be treated. As someone who has found dog walkers through Rover for my own dog, I know what it’s like to be on both sides of the app, and your pets are safe and happy with me! As I do with my own pet, I’ll end up singing your pets names in silly songs and make sure they get lots of love while you’re gone - whether it’s for a longer vacation or even just during the day while you’re at work. I’m also more than happy to bring in your mail/any packages that show up, water plants, and anything else you need while you’re away. My pup is an epileptic boy so I know the paranoia and worry that comes with health issues. I will ensure that your pets get the best care and meds on time when applicable. I do have experience with reactive dogs, and have experience with various training philosophies. I’m happy to work with whatever training method you use when walking or checking in on your dog. In the past I’ve gone through all of the levels of dog training at All About My Dog in Natick, MA and both All Paws Retreat and Columbus All Breed in Columbus, OH. I’m very responsible and communicate well about how your pets are doing. I’ll always send you updates and lots of pictures!

Jennie is one of the best dog walkers we’ve had! She clearly loves animals and is super thoughtful about the little details. For example, when she came to our house for the meet and greet, she messaged us instead of ringing the doorbell because she knew some dogs don’t like the sound of doorbells. Jennie is extremely reliable, a great communicator, and takes a ton of pictures on every walk. We feel like our dogs are safe and cared for!
Jennie has been great, she’s always on time and my dog was always excited to see her. She took lots of photos as well!
Jennie is communicative, caring, and consistent. My dog jasper loves his walks with her and Jennie does a fantastic job updating me and letting me know how it went. Jasper is a big doggo with some leash reactivity and she is incredibly adept and capable of managing him. Would highly recommend Jennie as a caretaker for your furry friends!
Jennie did a great job looking after our cat Hazel. Jennie is a clear and consistent communicator, an independent problem solver, and she took really fun photos of Hazel! We were very lucky that she was available to help and I would absolutely hire her again.
