Availability
With a week's notice, I can be very flexible with my schedule. As I work remotely, I am able to schedule my work day around your pet's unique schedule and all of the attention they need. In addition to this flexible schedule, I can be home for most of the day, tending to your pet and their specific needs. I only have a few recurring appointments in the late mornings/early afternoons on certain days, so I will only ever be gone for a maximum of 2-4 hours if you have booked me for house-sitting. The only other time I am gone is to visit the store for groceries or run other types of typical, short errands.

Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviours that I can account for. Of course this would include any triggers, resource guarding behaviours, reactive behaviours, dietary restrictions, areas they are allowed/not allowed in the house, etc. If required, I have experience with both oral medication administration (with or without pill capsules) & injected medication administration. If given detailed direction, I would be more than happy to help you care for your pet in this way. If you have booked a dog-walking service, please let me know if your pet/pets are friendly with other animals & people or if they prefer their own space.
A typical day
During the day, I follow the animal’s lead and ensure they get as much play time as they need. For your pets sleeping or daytime napping arrangements, I try to mimic their regular routine as much as possible. I am a very light sleeper who will be alerted to any late-night happenings. I'll know who has slept through the night, or if an animal wakes up at 2:00 AM and needs to be let out to use the bathroom, I have no problem taking them. Every pet is unique. It is important to me to keep your four-legged family member’s routine exactly as you would like it. If you have any specific requests for my time spent with your pet/pets, just let me know how I can meet your expectations.

I have had a huge space in my heart for animals for as long as I can remember. Since I was born, I have been around all kinds of animals - dogs, cats, horses, birds, rodents - caring for them as my own pets, foster animals, or through other kinds of animal care & rescue organizations. Prior to my time with Rover, I was a public school teacher for seven years (grades 7 - 12). I have a wealth of knowledge, experience, tools, and equipment to create the best possible stay with your four-legged family member(s). Whether it is house-sitting, drop-in visits, or going for a walk, I ensure to go above and beyond so that every animal in my care enjoys their time in the safest possible manner. If you are a new client, I find it best to start with a meet & greet (FREE OF CHARGE) to ensure I am the best fit for everyone’s needs. I have worked with hundreds of animals, ranging in all kinds of temperaments. Shy or nervous rescue animals are no problem. I have extensive experience with foster dogs & rescues, as well as senior animals. If required, I can also comfortably provide both oral medication administration (with or without pill pocket treats) & injected medications. I can care for and handle any animal - big or small, high energy, timid, low energy, giant breeds, counter surfers, etc. I never stop learning about animals, and I look forward to learning more from you & your pet(s). I am a very detail-oriented person; therefore, any directions you leave for me will be followed exactly as you require. During our time together, I will provide descriptive updates and photos/videos of our time together.

Jenna was wonderful and easy to work with. She gave very thorough updates about our kitty cat and sent adorable photos. She made sure to give her attention, play with her, and give her outside time. Our kitty had lashed out at her once and she communicated it well, we discussed the best strategy to manage kitty’s stress to prevent this again and Jenna was very kind about it and went back and continued to have good visits. We appreciate the care Jenna put in for our kitty as we get stressed and worried leaving her for a long time.
