Pet care experience
Your fur-babies next favorite human
I am currently in school at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 2028. Prior to this, while in my high school and undergraduate career, I have been involved in the veterinary field for about 7-8 years. I started out as a general practice technician at a small animal hospital. Here, I was in charge of gathering histories, educating clients about routine procedures and care, pulling blood and urine for labs, administering vaccines, administering medications (IV, IM, SQ), recovering anesthetized and sedated animals, caring for hospitalized patients, and much more. Recently, I had joined the UF small animal hospital’s surgery team, where I was the orthopedic surgery technician caring for animals with all sorts of bone problems! In this service, I had a major role in communicating and educating clients and UFCVM students (since it’s a teaching hospital) in all things orthopedics, such as radiographs, surgeries, post and pre operative care and instructions, and more. I assisted in managing the schedule and doctors, sedated and monitored patients, assisted in minor surgical procedures, applied bandages and splints for our patients with fractures, pulled blood for lab work, filled prescriptions, gave medications (IM, IV, SQ), and much more! I have had a lot of experience caring for young, old, sick, and healthy animals and I’m super excited to continue to grow in this field and learn even more!

Safety, trust & environment
When entering the clients home I understand that each dog and each cat has their own special requirements for their day to day life, whether that be enrichment, food, treats, medication, and more. I can appreciate and sympathize with my clients on the time and work it takes to take care for their animals while working full-time, part-time, or while they are in school. I hope to elevate their stress and help them out as best I can by giving them the peace of mind that their fur baby is in good hands and is being given exactly what they need! While entering each clients home, I will always treat their animals like they are my own!
Ratings and reviews
Jenna was great! She watched our three cats, communicated often, followed instructions, and sent lots of photos. Would recommend!

Jenna was very reliable and respectful! She was responsive and easy to communicate with. It gave us such comfort knowing our kitties were in her care. We will be using her again next time we need someone to take care of them!

Schedule
I am currently a full time student at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. My schedule can be pretty open at times and I can take care of pets over the weekends, on mornings and nights, and even some afternoons! I work uber eats so my job is flexible as well, allowing me to have a pretty flexible schedule overall for pet care!
