Safety, trust & environment

The goal is calm, consistency, and reading pet cues. 1. Follow their routine exactly Pets feel safest with predictability. Feed at the same times Use the same food amounts and bowls Keep walks/playtime similar to what they’re used to Even small changes can make sensitive pets anxious. 2. Do a careful first check-in When I arrive: I look for water level, food, accidents, or damage I observe their behavior (hiding, excited, nervous, clingy) I let them come to me rather than forcing interaction. 3. I arrive with a calm presence Many pets don’t need constant stimulation, they need steady companionship. I prefer to sit quietly near them, talk softly and let shy pets approach me on their terms 4. Exercise + enrichment (tailored to each pet) Dogs: walks, sniff time, fetch (if they enjoy it) Cats: wand toys, gentle play, window time I may suggest to keep sessions short if they get overstimulated 5. I like to help keep the home clean and safe by scooping litter boxes daily (sometimes twice per day), pick up wrappers or food items immediately, wipe paws if needed after walks, and keep doors locked and secure at all times 6. Respect their boundaries This is a big one for trust: I try not to force picking up or petting and watch for signs like tail flicking, hiding, freezing, or overstimulation. I let them decompress alone if needed. 7. I love the saying, “Leave things better than you found them” My fur friends owners say they appreciate: Clean bowls and litter areas, a tidy feeding/walking area, and the notes about how they did during the visit 8. I communicate clearly Send updates like: “Fed, walked, and doing well,” Photos (if allowed) and any changes in behavior or appetite

Information Jenna R. would like to know about your pet

To provide the highest level of care for your pet, it is important to share a detailed overview of their health, behavior, and daily routine before the first visit. Key information includes your pet’s medical history, including allergies, chronic conditions, and any past or current injuries. Please also include all medication details such as dosage, timing, method of administration, and any specific instructions for administration or monitoring side effects. It is also helpful to share your pet’s age, weight, breed, and activity level, as these factors influence exercise needs, handling, and overall care approach. If your pet has any dietary restrictions, sensitivities, or feeding preferences, including treat allowances or food-related behaviors, this should also be clearly communicated. Behavioral insights are equally important. Information about temperament, triggers, fears, socialization level, and comfort with strangers, handling, or other animals helps ensure interactions are calm and respectful. If your dog/cat becomes overstimulated, anxious, or reactive in certain situations, please describe what typically helps them feel safe and regulated. Routine details such as feeding schedule, potty habits, preferred walking routes, enrichment preferences, and sleep routines allow for consistency that reduces stress while you are away. Finally, please provide clear communication preferences, including the best method to reach you during visits, preferred response times, and any specific situations where you would like to be contacted immediately. When all of this information is shared upfront, it allows me to provide attentive, individualized care that prioritizes your dog(s)/cat’s(s) safety, comfort, and emotional well-being at all times.

A typical day

Here's a professional example you could use to describe a typical pet-sitting day: A typical pet care day might begin at 7:00 a.m. with Hershey, a friendly 40-pound dog. During our 30-minute visit, we start the day with a neighborhood walk for exercise and potty time, followed by breakfast and fresh water before I make sure Hershey is settled and comfortable before I leave. At 9:00 a.m., I visit Rufus, a curious 5-pound kitten. This visit focuses on enrichment and companionship through interactive play, wand toys, exploration activities, and positive engagement tailored to Rufus's energy level and interests. Fresh water, litter box maintenance, and socializing are also part of the visit. My 11:30 a.m. stop is with Sunny and Shady, two energetic Labradoodles weighing approximately 70 pounds each. During this visit, I provide lunch, fresh water, potty breaks, and attentive interaction. Depending on their energy levels, we may include light play, training reinforcement, or enrichment activities to keep them mentally and physically engaged. The day concludes at 4:30 p.m. with Tyson, an 80-pound Labrador. Our visit includes a walk through a local park, allowing plenty of opportunities for scent enrichment, exploration, exercise, and potty breaks. Sniffing and investigating the environment provide important mental stimulation, helping Tyson return home relaxed and fulfilled. Throughout each visit, I monitor behavior, appetite, water intake, elimination habits, and overall well-being while providing personalized care that helps every pet feel safe, comfortable, and cared for in their familiar environment.

Reliable and Compassionate Care

Pet care experience

I have experience caring for both dogs and cats. I’ve been the reliable friend people turn to when they’re away. Some of the routines look like: stopping in to feed pets, provide fresh water, clean up, and offer enrichment and play, and companionship so they feel comfortable and not alone. I also have experience house sitting and staying overnight for up to four nights, making sure pets feel safe, settled, and cared for in their own environment. I’ve been around animals since I was about 10 years old, including golden retrievers, labs, and cats, and I often ask to say hello when I see a furry friend out and about. I welcome different temperaments and adjust myself to meet them where they’re comfortable. I genuinely enjoy being around animals and aim to provide calm, attentive, and loving care so fur babies feel secure, seen, and cared for while their best friend is away.

Jenna has always been an animal lover. She pays a lot of attention to what a pet needs. She loves to read about their habits and what makes them happy and healthy. She spends her time loving and caring for her pets daily. She is a very responsible pet owner.

Jenna is an amazingly thoughtful, respectful, punctual, and responsible pet sitter. She took care of my cat for 2 weeks with the best care possible. I gave complex instructions and Jenna followed them perfectly, giving me updates daily on his health, eating and playing habits, cleaning litter, bringing extra toys, and even sent pics and videos daily! I could not have asked for a better cat-sitter during my vacation and I had complete peace of mind with no worries. I will definitely be asking Jenna to cat-sit in the future!

Jenna and I welcomed a 3 month old kitten into our home about a year ago. During this time, I witnessed first hand the immense dedication and thoughtfulness with which she has cared for our kitten. Everything from clipping his nails, training him to do tricks, feeding him thrice a day on schedule and most importantly ensuring that he gets all the enrichment he deserves. She takes a keen interest in our kitten’s health staying on top of vet appointments, insurance and the occasional eye drops during summer.

Jenna is absolutely amazing with pets! She takes the best care of her kitten and I can see how happy the both of them are. I have personally seen how attentive and patient she is when it comes to making sure pets are feeling comfortable and safe while their owner is away. Jenna is dependable, great with communication, and is so loving. I have trusted her with my pup before and would do it again!
